Jamie's POV:
I pulled the blanket over my face and groaned. It was the first day of school, and I wasn't mentally or physically prepared for it.
I laid there for another four or five minutes before I gave in and walked over to my dresser. I already knew today wasn't going to go well. I had the whole summer to prepare for this and yet I was still on end.
But despite everything I was hoping everything would go well.
The problem was I was a big push over and so I tended to get bullied. I was practically the cheerleading captains punching bag at our school. Her name was Katy but me and my friends called her The Queen Bitch.
I always wanted to fight back but, but it was like my mind was telling me not to. It wasn't that I couldn't fight back I just didn't want to get in trouble. I knew I looked like a goody goody and a big wimp but I preferred to live over getting killed in a fight.
Or by my father if I survived it.If I ever got into a fight , my father would kill me. My father never wanted me fighting because it could mess up my future. He had a lot of hope for me, and that mean't I had to stay in line.
I didn't want that either.
Someday's I just couldn't take it. I would come home and cry into my pillow. It was hard being harassed all day at school, trying to do my best academically so I could make my father proud and in the end feeling like I was losing instead.
I left the house in a hurry out to my car. The school wasn't all that far away but I knew I was going to be a little late.
I pulled into the school parking lot with a little time to spare surprisingly. I slammed the door shut and went on inside. I was swept up into the over flowing crowd of students rushing around with new schedules, and textbooks. Everyone was talking so loud and some girls were squealing at the friends they hadn't seen since last semester.
I was so wrapped up in getting through the crowd in one piece I hadn't even noticed The Queen B until we bumped into each other.
"Watch it, Bitch!," Katy spat at me, and flipped her long straight blond hair off her shoulder and rolled her eyes. She was out to get me and it was beyond annoying.
I kept myself collected though and stammered. "I'm sorry."
But I wanted to punch her in her fake tanned face. Some how I got away from her scot-free. I tried to calm myself down as I joined my friends and brother by his locker.
"Hey guys"
I get answered with a chores of hi's and hey Jamie. We mingled for a few moments and then we said our byes.
I walked down the main hall to my locker and gathered my books for Math.
"Hey Jamie lets go" my friend Yasmin grabbed my arm as the bell rang. I walked down the hall looking at my shoes, and to all my good luck I bumped into a wall.
I closed my eyes ready for my fall but a pair of strong hands caught me.
I look up into Drew's wonderful brown eyes. I was frozen with fear from my near fall.
"Thank you" I said breathlessly.
He smirked and said all arrogantly. " Girls always fall for me but, never this hard"
I wanted to be witty with my comeback. "You probably think it's your good looks but, it's really your breath bitch."Then I walked away leaving him shocked. Not going lie it felt good for me to say that.
He was so full of himself. Sure he was good looking but what did that matter when you couldn't stop being a ass for even a moment?
I got to math late and of course Mr. Coy had to broadcast it to the whole freaking world, well, mainly our little math class but still...
"Miss summers you are late."
"No dur dip shit," I was thinking but then I heard a roar of oooooooh's.
Crap! I must of said that out loud. And to my luck yet again, Mr. Coy wasn't playing around. Not today. "Detention. Get out my class now."
I walked down the hall to the main office to get a pass. I knew my father would be furious if he found out so I was planning on keeping it from him. I saw the secretary typing away on her computer. I tapped on her desk bell and she looked up.
"Um can I have a pass for detention?"
"Sure here you go" I grabbed the slip and walked slowly to my doom.
Pit Pat was all I heard as I walked down the empty hall.
"Room 240 the detention room" I mumbled to myself. I opened the door slowly then walked in and see.
I had never been to detention and I was worried they would eat me alive inside...
