Summer had came and went. You stopped working in the beginning of June to spend more time with Jungkook and with your friends. At the time, Jungkook was working less hours, not having any projects so you would spend days with him and nights with your friends. It was a good balance, and you weren't ready for Jungkook to meet them just yet. You liked your small bubble, you liked that you would have your time alone with him.
"When are you going to bring this dude around?" Taehyung asks as he slouches on the chair in your backyard. It was a nice night to gather before the three of you started school. It was a cloudless night with a light breeze. It wasn't as hot as the previous nights, which was always a nice feeling.
"Not any time soon. We are still just talking." You answer, with a laugh. "Besides, I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable hanging out with a bunch of young people." You admitted. As much as you wanted Jungkook to be around the people that meant most in your life, you didn't want to push it too far. You wanted to wait for the right moment where you can all sit down and enjoy each other's company.
"Is he that old?" Taehyung teases, making you roll your eyes.
"He is not old." You scoff with a shake of your head. "I am just saying because he tends to be more mature." You answer with a shrug. Not in a mean way, but you knew that if you were to bring him around, it wouldn't be the same. He would definitely be the odd man out.
"Are you saying that we are not mature?" Jimin huffs, taking hold of his drink and gulping down the rest of it while you and Tae cheer him on. He slams his drink down on the table once it was finished. "I am pretty sure that I can hang."
"That is not what I meant, and you know that. I am just saying that I don't want him to feel misplaced." You correct yourself which didn't seem a good enough reason to the two.
"Misplaced? Babes, you always give so many excuses. I think that it is time for us to meet this mystery man." Jimin answered with a tilt to his head and a smile. You knew that he wasn't joking, even though he had a smile, he was one hundred percent serious.
"Another time." You answer before taking a sip of your drink. You furrow your eyebrow at the taste. Jimin had a knack for making your drinks strong, but still enjoyable. It was your last summer weekend, and you were making the best of it. You would drink, talk, and text back Jungkook.
"She is just embarrassed of us." Taehyung teases and you couldn't hold back the laugh.
"Oh, terribly embarrassed. I wouldn't let him near you with a ten foot pole." You joke and Taehyung clutches his hand over his heart, in faux hurt.
