High school is a key episode in any person's life. It is full of new feelings, sensations, experiences, changes, relationships, growth and, above all, self awareness. Teenagers are constantly in search of their identity, exploring life, facing the need to fit in a social group and dealing with hormones at the same time.

The students at South Park High were no exception to this process.

It was Monday, 7.00 am. Kyle Broflovski was in his room getting ready for the first day of his sophomore year. He kept looking at himself in the mirror, analyzing every part of his almost naked body; he was just wearing underwear. The redheaded boy squinted his eyes hard, as if he was trying to change his reflection with his mind.

"Jeez" he sighed. Disappointment clearly noticeable in his voice. "When will I grow some muscle? I look just like a kid, even though I'm already 15 years old". He thought to himself.

Although Kyle had a very strong personality, he was very insecure and did care a lot about being left behind in the "physical development" department. He noticed how all his male classmates were taller, more muscular and with deeper voices, whereas he was thinner and shorter than them. Only his ass did grow a great deal thanks to his mom's genetics. His close friends always teased him about having a "feminine" body, which used to bother him at the beginning, but now he just accepted the fact that he was blessed with such a bubble butt.

7.30 am and Kyle was already leaving for the bus stop to meet his SBF Stan, Kenny and fatass. He saw Stan standing alone, trying to get his hands warm by rubbing them together. It was a cold morning.

Kyle's POV

"Hey dude!" I waved at Stan.

"yo ky!" he answered back, giving me a warm smile.

"You're early, everything ok?" I asked, knowing that Stan was always the last one of us to arrive at the bus stop.

"Yeah..." He answered, gazing somewhere else to avoid eye contact.

"Dude" I sighed "Is it Wendy again?"

"Yeah..." this time he rubbed the back of his head, looking a bit ashamed. "You must think I'm an idiot".

"Of course you are a jerk! I know you so well" I said. Both of us laughed.

It was true, we were super best friends, so we could easily know when the other was going through difficult times, or when something bothered us.

Stan and Wendy had been together since we were in the third grade. However, just a week ago they broke up and Stan's been having a hard time dealing with it. That's why he's been trying to avoid her. Today he arrived at the bus stop early because he knew I would be there early as well. I always am.

"See, Ky.. I just came here early to ask if you'd want to walk to school with me" said Stan.

"You don't wanna see her on the bus do you?"

"Of course not, man... Imma freak out" He answered, clearly affected.

"Stan..." I started "Fine, we'll walk to school today, but starting tomorrow you'll get on that bus showing her that you're doing fine without her." I looked at him with reassuring eyes. "You are a great guy, you are funny, caring, handsome and gentle... you'll be surrounded by a bunch of girls trying to get you in no time! You must leave the past behind and realize that you can build your own future alongside someone who cares for you as much as you care for them" I told him, patting his shoulder.
