The past couple of weeks have been the same between me and Brandon. But now it's kind of awkward.
I've been bowling against Andrew's team for the past 4 weeks and I still haven't gotten the courage to talk to him. I think Andrew is starting to catch onto me, every time I look at Brandon, I look at Andrew and he's looking at me, questioning me.
Andrew: Okay, I see what your doing. Just go talk to him, would ya.
Kayla: First, what am I doing? And it's not that simple.
Andrew: I see the way you look at him and yea it is.
Kayla: Yea, maybe for you.
Andrew: What's that supposed to mean?
Kayla: That you're a guy.
Andrew: Ouch, is it that obvious.?
Kayla: Oh, im so sorry, did I bruise your ego, or are you suddenly gay now? Wow that makes a lot more sense about why your girlfriend broke up with you.
Before Andrew could respond Brandon comes in.
Brandon: Oh shit, man just give it up she got you.
I chuckle and give a slight glance to Brandon.
Andrew: Okay, nobody asked for your opinion dude. And Kayla that is not what happened.
Kayla: Oh really, is that why she's not watching you talk to me right now.
Andrew: Wait, what! Why I told her we are just friends.
Kayla: Yea, and in her defense, I know everything about you, so to a girlfriend...
Andrew: Ex-girlfriend
Kayla: Right, ex-girlfriend, and when you guys broke up, I was the first person you went to, that could be a little intimidating to her.
Andrew: I guess, but you're like 3 years younger than me so I'm good.
Kayla: Damn, that shit stinged.
Andrew looks at Brandon.
Andrew: Bro, girls are so fucking complicated.
Brandon: Yea, most of them...
Brandon looks at me.
Bandon: but not her, she's different.
Andrew looks at him, feeling a spark.
Andrew: Okay, well imma leave you guys alone, so you can talk out... whatever this is.
Me and Brandon look at each other.
Kayla and Brandon: (cough) yea, I'm up to bowl so...
We both laugh and walk away, looking at each other.
