"she's coming!"the paparazzi shouted coming towards my direction with lights flashing in my face."how'd you do it?"
"What difference will you impact now?" Questions thrown at me as my PS drew me away from the paparazzi and their stupid lights. Aso Rock here I come. I looked at the red carpet and held my breath ,finally I made it. I sacrificed alot so I deserved it. I couldn't help but look around and I saw how I was being gaurded like God. I won't lie it felt good, 26 soldiers on my left and right heavily armed . Soldiers on the building and also bouncers by my side. I felt royal and loved. The doors opened and I saw the ministers waiting for me,fake smiles plastered on their face and it wasn't hard because I gave them back. We all knew cause we were playing the game of politics.

"You said you'll do anything to get to the president's position" he asked giving me a sly smile. Of course I knew it but I played dumb.

"Yes sir" I said the words bitterly. He flicked his fingers in my face and I looked up, he patted his laps and bit his lips. I felt the tears in my eyes not allowing my voice come out.

"You do as I say and I'll get you there. Just be at my service"

" Fuck your service then" i said and stood up. "If you think I'll be a slut to get there you got me wrong. "

"Samira!" He called and I looked back"you'll come back to me"

End of flashback.
Here I am ,ill prove to him I didn't need him to get here and I won't be needing him again. We got in and everyone stood up
"The president of Nigeria .Samira Ibrahim"I felt overwhelmed with joy as I stood up and people clapped while I went up. I faced the crowd and I saw the number of eyes, some with admiration and some with hatred and some wanting to see what I can do. Going back to the last ten years. I was a very shy and reticent person, I had big dreams but I didn't go this far in my imagination. I bent my head"thank you God"I muttered and let the tears fall not touching my face. I looked up and when I saw smiling faces I didn't smile back,I smiled inside but kept a straight face to let them know I was serious. "On this very day the 22 July of 2030 I do solemnly swear(affirm) that I'll support the Constitution of Nigeria against all enemies, foreign and domestic." I looked at their faces and the paper by my hands, I tore it and looked up. This people need a heart to heart speech. I hate giving what others have done" I Samira Musa want to let you how this. I am not the same as the previous presidents, I won't tolerate things that aren't in the Constitution and my government will be different. Am not promising anything but I'll do my job, I am not going to impress anyone so up don't expect more than what is written. To make the country stronger we'll involve more youth and I'll make a new cabin"I looked at him and saw anger coming up"I believe giving me opportunity I should also give other people opportunity. We need change and I'll love sure to this. I am not here to give you a speech of approximately 13,000words, but I'll give you my words and I'll stick to it. Thank you for coming today and making this day memorable" I said and soon people were clapping. I looked at the air mashal and he was looking at me giving me warning glances as he also raised his hands to clap for me. I gave him the 'am also dangerous'look and he gave me a toothy grin. I got down and my PS followed me

"Congratulations" he said and I looked at him with my side eye. He was always quiet, even though I know air mashal Abdul sent him to watch my every move,he was always quiet and him congratulating me was another new development. I liked his voice also and despite my situation.it felt like the warmest greeting today. I smiled and we went to our car.
**********
The alarm came off and when I woke up yesterday's event came in my memory in full force as I realized I was the president. I did my ithkar and went to pray. The maids came in to clean the room and I went out to the garage , got in my bike and went to my outside house. I entered the road and when I saw the red light I stopped and I thought of how I will miss my first appointment with Ruth for yoga. I decided to go when a car hit me, I fell down from the bike and touched my body. Goodness gracious I was alive, thank God I was putting on nose mask no one will see their president being hit because of defying the rules. The car stopped and the driver came down,he ran to help me but I stood up.

"Are you ok?" He asked and I looked at him,not missing how his eyes were dark in he white cloth he wore, neat. A foreigner driving recklessly in the city of Abuja.

"What do you call that?"I asked him pointing to his car" you definitely saw the lights" I said and he smiled, ooh he was smiling.

"Am sorry I was in a hurry I have an appointment I need to attend to"

"Whatever the appointment you should have obeyed"

He raised an eyebrow and I felt bad. "It's not like am the only one at fault here. You also defied the rules"
I looked at my watch and saw I was late. I glanced up at him

"Look I don't have time to argue with you ,but this a different country not yours. I get you are used to driving when the light says red. Here you obey" I looked him up" you are also a foreigner you should learn things"

" Like you were giving example,i followed you when you decided to move. I just didn't expect a lady to be doing stunt by this time of the day" I looked him and my alarm signalled it was six.iwent and picked up my bike" hopefully next time I meet you again, you'll be reminded your place" I put on my helmet and saw him smirking. An Arab and an attractive one with no good manners. Spoilt brat ,I geared and went.
