"rio" i called him from the living room. i was now 4 months, my tummy was growing. i was working from home getting my own money which felt good.
"here i come mama." he said jumping down the steps, stumbling down and hitting his back on the corner of the wall. i got up quick, then slowing down because my stomach.
"boy what the fuck is wrong witcho DUMB ASS" i yelled at him.
"baby, calm down the baby." he said standing up.
"im okay, i wanted to see how bad it'll hurt. it hurts alot." he rubbed his back and pulled me gently to the couch.
"what you need mama?" he asked me kissing my lips.
"we have an doctors appointment at 10 am and its 8, i just wanted to tell you and can i have a hug bc now i feel like you dont love me, is it because im fat-" he cut me off with a hug and a kiss.
"girl shut yo ass up, you not fat." he said and rubbed my tummy while taking a polaroid picture.
"i love you." he kissed my forehead.
"i love you to." i smiled up at him and we made our way to the bathroom upstairs.
he got our towels, and clothes. i turned the shower on and we got in together and we bathed each other.
he kissed me all over as lauryn hill played nothing even matters as he song to me and bathe my stomach.
we rinsed off and we continued our morning routine. we washed our faces, brushed our teeth, rubbed coco oil on my stomach, put our clothes on and put on smell goods.
i styled my hair and posted a picture of me.

"you ready?" he asked.
"yes, love." i said and we got in the car and drove to the apt.
it was bout a hour down the road. we got there at 9:57. we signed in and waited, but rio was playing with the children toy section.
then we got called by our doctor, doctor genesis. i laid down on the table thing and she put the gel on my stomach and stuff. the baby popped up and every time he or she pops up my eyes tear up.
"the baby is still a very healthy baby, i see your stress vitals went up a little." Dr.G said.
"Dad, you have to keep her relaxed but we know how you act." she said making me laugh and him mug.
"whatever." he rolled his eyes.
"you can know the gender now, do you want to know or want to keep it a surprise?" she asked me and i looked at rio.
"surprise." we both said at the same time. she smiled at us and we smiled back. we talked some more and she gave me more tips. we walked out to the car.
"you hungry baby?" he asked and i said yes, we was driving then shit went black.
