CHAPTER 1 Meet Lily

A long time ago in a city far away, there was a family of four who lived on a little farm. That family had a little pup named Lily. Lily was a pug. She had a sparkle in her eye and a spring in her step. She was a little pup with a lot of attitude. She was a very special pup, and her owners thought so too. Who knows what adventures she will go on...

CHAPTER 2 Mischief

One day Lily was feeling extra naughty, in the morning at breakfast she purposefully kept spilling her water dish over. And, being very messy with her food. In the afternoon, she disobeyed the farmer and didn't round up the cows. The farmer had to round up the cows all by himself. Also, the worst thing she did was, sneak into the chicken coop, startle all the chickens, and she ate all the eggs! She made herself sick! Now the chicken coop is surrounded by a large fence so Lily won't be tempted to be a naughty pup again. Also, a few years later, to help keep the chickens safe, the farmer decided the chickens were getting to be too much work anyway, the farmer sold the chickens to a guy across town. So, now they just have their horses, pigs, and cows.

CHAPTER 3 Lily's New Friend

A month or two had past by now, and Lily was having one of those days. There wasn't anything going on at the farm, and Lily's family had gone to town to shop. Lily was bored of doing nothing, so she went and searched for something to do. She went and took a nap with the cows, since that was all they were doing. She went and played a little bit of of tag with the horses until they started cheating. Those cheaters. Then, she went to go visit the pigs. When she was heading towards the pig pen, she heard a faint bark. She got excited, she ran all the way to the pen, and jumped over the fence. She went SPLASH straight into the mud!!!

CHAPTER 4 An Interesting Pig

Lily was stick in the mud. Her fur was dirty. When she tried to move, she sank deeper and deeper into the mud. After struggling in the mud for a while, she called for help. Some of the pigs heard her and finally came to her rescue by pulling her out of the mud, and on to the grass. One of the pigs names was Porky. Porky was a nice pig,he was the first one to show compassion to Lily and help her out when she fell into the mud. Porky was a big pig though, he had a struggle getting up after a long nap. He was a sweet heart though, he always had your back. He was a great BFF!

CHAPTER 5 New Friends

After Lily and Porky got to know each other, Lily heard her family come home. She then said quick goodbyes and ran to meet her family. When she met her family by the front door Lily's sister, Emily, had a big bow with holes in it. "What kind of box has holes in it?" wondered Lily. When the family got inside, Emily opened the box. And you'll never guess what was inside! It was another dog!!!!

CHAPTER 6 Meeting the Pup

Lily was stunned. She was excited, worried, and surprized all at the same time. Once Lily got her senses back, she went to introduce herself to their guest. She went to go say "Hi," when the new dog jumped off the table! He went running throughout the house like a jackrabbit on steroids. I guess he was just exceited to be here. When I wanted to meet our new guest, so I did what a normal dog would do. I went and played tag with him. When we both got tierd, we went to the living room carpet, curled up, and took a nap. After our nap, I introduced myself to our guest. And then, he introduced himself to me. His name was Fred. He was a border collie mix. He used to belp and older man named John. John had bad ears and was deaf. So, Fred was his companion until John got sick and passed away. Fred moved on and went to an animal shelter, after that he came to live with Lily and her family until he got a new friend to help out.

CHAPTER 7 Teaching Fred

Since Fred had never been a farm dog, he had to learn how to do what a farm dog does. Lily decided it was her job to teach him. So, to start out the day, she gave him a lesson in rounding up the cows. And, if the cows weren't listing, you give them a sharp bark. If they still aren't listening, you nip their hind legs.Next, Lily taught Fred how to ride on the tractor with the farmer. The key to that was to not fall off, and to not let the farmer see you. If he sees you on the tractor when you are close to the house, he won't let you stay. He will make you go inside and you lose your chance to ride with him. If you are far in the field when he notices you, he will let you stay. After a long day of teaching and learning for the pups, they went inside to rest.

CHAPTER 8 Age

Once Fred learned all the ropes of being a farm dog, he was pretty talented at it. He was almost as good as Lily at it, actually. The farmer was very pleased that he now had two great helpers. Now he could let the dogs do most the work. A few years later, Lily got very old, she was now 15. That was very old for a dog. She then couldn't do a lot of the work. The farmer then decided that Lily had to retire from her farm dog duties. Fred was now the main farm pup. Fred was happy, but he missed Lily. So, to solve that problem, in between all of his jobs he would stop in and say hi to Lily. Lily liked that. Then, that became a daily routine.

CHAPTER 9 How it is now...

On the farm things were as happy as a dog with a bone. The farmer and his family lived happily ever after.
