"alright ronny, tell me what else has been going on. how was the baby's birthday party you went to?" dr. morris, ronny's therapist asked.
just thinking about that whole day made ronny upset all over again. "it was fun...until a bunch of drama happened. and i was involved in some of it."
"like what?" dr. morris crossed one leg over the other.
"apparently my best friend has been messing around with someone i had feelings for in the past, without my knowledge. it came to the light and i wasn't too happy about it. we got into an argument...she slapped me and i blacked out. i punched her in the nose and that was that." she answered before letting out a long sigh.
ronny was at her therapy session for the week. monday's were always pretty busy for her since she had classes on top of therapy too.
she couldn't wait to see her therapist because she had so much to tell her.
dr. morris's eyes widened. "okay...have you been taking your medication?"
the medication ronny's psychiatrist prescribed her was supposed to help with her moods and blackout episodes. so her therapist wanted to make sure she was taking it.
ronny looked away from her therapist and down at her hands. "maybe..."
"now ronny, we talked about this. if you don't take your medication twice a day everyday, it's not going to do its's job. you have to take it as instructed so that you make some progress. does that make sense?" dr. morris stressed to her.
she sighed. "yes ma'am. can i...be honest with you for a minute?"
dr. morris chuckled. "of course, that's why you're here."
"well...i haven't been taking it because...because i feel like if i do, i'll finally have to come to terms with the fact that i'm not normal. that something is wrong with me. and that i'm crazy. i don't think i'm ready to face it." ronny said, honestly.
