A Class with Hermione and my Friends

TRANSFIGURATION CLASS
(TARA'S P.O.V.)

Kate, Hannah, Abigail, and I got to the transfiguration classroom to find a cat with square markings around the eyes sitting on the teachers desk. But being that my brother and sister had already been to Hogwarts they told me that at our first transfiguration class that the teacher would do something weird. After remembering thy I immediately knew what they were talking about. I quickly took a seat in the middle of the classroom after a while you learn that the middle is the best part of the room to choose not too far from the teacher but not too close. The tables were set up so that only two people can sit at each. I sat by Kate and I had a plan so that Ron and Harry would have to sit behind us by asking everyone to not it because I need the room for my books and set my books there(because I have a lot). Soon the room started filling up. Then I saw her...Hermione Granger its not that I've met her but I've heard rumors about her that she is a big nerd (but so am I) and when the teacher asks the class a question she always had her hand up and I could tell by the way she walked that she thought that she was a great which (but so am I again). I immediately knew that Hermione would try to answer each question. I looked over to my three friends and we nodded meaning that we were going to try to answer some questions and not let Hermione answer them all.....to protect her because if you answer all the questions it makes you look like a know-it-all and if you are you can get made fun of. Then the room is filled and there is only three minutes until the only two people that weren't there a.k.a. Harry and Ron to get here before being late. They ended up coming in the next minute and as they walked in I took my books from the seat. They looked over tho the cat a.k.a. Professor McGonagal and then suddenly McGonagal transfigured herself back to a human and looked at them verry sternly. Harry thinks of something and quickly scans the room for a seat and notice that the only two left are behind us and pulls Ron over to the seats behind us. "Do we have to sit here."Ron says" I don't want to embarrass myself in front of Kate." I glance over at Kate and she is blushing like crazy. Then McGonagal introduces herself and talks about how we are going to learn a lot and have fun doing it and starts calling roll. I listen for my name and say here she finishing calling roll. She asks the class what transfiguration is and Kate, Hermione, Harry, Ron, and I have our hands up to answer the question. I end up getting called on and say "transfiguration is the act of turning items into other items such as a porcupine into a pincushion or a rat into a cup using different spells." (which was almost word for word) it got Ravenclaw 20 house points. I looked over to Hermione and she look threatened but I couldn't help being myself but I guess now she has some competition in her eyes but oh we'll. I actually want to be friends with her but after I answered the question instead of her she may not want to now but I couldn't blame her.
