" I'm not doing it Damon."

"Come on, we may be on the lookout for big bad Klaus, but that doesn't mean that we still can't have some fun, does it itty bitty?"

Adrianna rolled her eyes as she and Damon swayed on the dance floor. " You know, considering-" Before she could finish, Stefan walked up to them, angry and grabbed Damon by the arm pulling him away from Adrianna.

"Come here, come here, come here. Please tell me you didn't know Bonnie was on a suicide mission."

" Bonnie's on a what?" Adrianna feigned surprise as she reached the two brothers.

Stefan and Damon both spared Adrianna a glance before continuing with their conversation.

"Oh, great. Jeremy told you and of course you told Elena."

" Yeah, I told her. You promised her no more secrets."

" I changed my mind." Stefan nodded disbelievingly at Damon's callous response, while Adrianna was now desperately looking for Aurora.

" Hey, not to make things worse, you guys but uh, I see Caroline and no one else in the gym. Where is everyone?"

Aurora and Alaric stood in tense awkward silence until Stefan walked up to them. " Hey Rory, Elena wants to talk to you. She's outside the school with Bonnie."

Aurora nodded. " Okay, where are you going?"

" I'm going to go find Damon. He and I need to have a chat." Then Stefan walked away without another word.

" Go on then," Alaric said, gesturing to the gym doors. " Don't want to keep Elena waiting do we?"

" Right," Aurora said before turning towards the doors and practically speed walking to get as far away from Klaus as possible.

As soon as she made it out of the gym, she took a deep breath and then walked outside. Once outside she saw Bonnie and Elena standing across from each other, both tense and hurriedly walked over to them.

" How could you not tell me?" Aurora overheard Elena's hurt voice.

" 'Cause I knew how you'd react."

" No." Came Elena's vehement response. " No way, it's not an option."

By this time Aurora had made it to the two girls.

Elena turned to Aurora, " Tell Bonnie it's not an option for her to sacrifice herself to save me from Klaus."

" Of course, that's not an option, Bonnie," Aurora said softly.

" But it is! It's our only option, you guys."

" Then, we will find another way, ok?" Elena said desperately. " Bonnie, you're not dying to save my life."

" I have the power to save you! If I don't use it and something happens, that would kill me more."

Elena shook her head and looked away. " I can't let you."

Bonnie smiled at Elena softly, and then grabbed her hand and turned to Aurora repeating the gesture. " Just, answer me one question, both of you. If the situation was reversed, would you both do it for me?"

Elena and Aurora both looked at her, speechless. Bonnie looked at them both, smiling sadly. " So, then you know why I have to."

Elena shook her head, tears pooling in her eyes, her voice catching on a sob. " No, No!"

" Bonnie, there's got to be a better way." Aurora said seeing Elena slowly start to break down at the thought of her childhood friend sacrificing herself to save her life.
