"Kaitlyn hurry the fuck up!" Peyton yelled, packing the last of their supplies into the large backpack. Several people were sprinting around the house, grabbing gear and whatnot. Kaitlyn jumped down the stairs, her feet landing on the hardwood floor with a soft thump. She held up the small EMF reader like a trophy, tossing it to Bella. Brody was picking at the food Bella had prepared on the counters. She swatted his hand away, sending him to fill up more waters. "Jesus Bella, you're packing enough food for an army!" Kaitlyn mused, raising an eyebrow at the endless cuisine in front of her. "If we get lost in those damned woods, I'm not about to starve to death!" Bella cried, stuffing more food into the already cramped bag. Brody scoffed, grabbing more blankets and such for the ride. Once everyone had their bags packed and prepped, they trudged out to the car, stuffing the poor hunk of metal with enough luggage for a move. Once everyone was seated and comfortable, they were off, with Kaitlyn and Brody arguing about which playlist they would listen to on the way.
Everyone was tired as fuck when they arrived at the small cabin they were to stay in. The actual 'haunted' location was a couple of miles west of the cabin, but nobody really cared about that now, they just wanted to sleep. Although she was nearly out of energy, Kaitlyn basically teleported to her bed. Everyone else copied her, flying to their beds. Peyton made sure the cabin and car were locked and secure before heading to bed, sighing at the thought of the long day that lay ahead.
The sun glistened on the morning dew. Birds chirped joyfully as the group bustled around tiredly. "Do we really have to get set up this early? For the love of God, I haven't even combed my hair yet" Brody complained, banging his head against the counter miserably. "Fuck off Brody, you'll live. Your hair looks better like that anyway. Oh shit, we're out of tea!" Kaitlyn cried, suddenly looking like a depressed noodle. Peyton snorted into her cereal, cursing as the milk splattered her face. Kaitlyn grumbled as she put the tea on the stove, tapping her finger impatiently as she glared at the pot as if it was the reason her precious tea wasn't made yet. Bella came into the room, dragging an impossible amount of luggage behind her. "What the fuck? How did you carry that?" Brody squeaked, hopping off to a stool to assist her. "What can I say, I've got magic," Bella said, flipping her hair and scowling as Kaitlyn burst into a fit of hushed giggles, finally catching her breath as the microwave timer shrilled.
All was well. Kaitlyn had her tea, Brody's hair was combed, Bella's food was packed, and Peyton had her headphones. They had finally got all the gear and food ready, setting it by the door.
"Ooh! I found the recording from the truth or dare session that started this shit!" Kaitlyn squealed, connecting her laptop to the TV as they all gathered around it, amused at the blonde's enthusiasm.
