The small TV went black, and the group smiled as they dreamily recalled each of the memories. "Guys, there's supposed to be a lake a mile east from here! We should do the hunt tomorrow and go tubing today!" Kaitlyn said, her pale emerald eyes gleaming with excitement. "I'd be down. It'd be hilarious to dunk Brody over and over until he just dies." Peyton said, grinning at the laughter Kaitlyn and Bella broke into, as well as the half-hearted glare Brody sent her. "I'm in. Sounds like a good time." Bella said, crossing her arms and smiling. "Okay, well, I'm in, but if I die before I get to cum for that daddy ghost, y'all will regret it," Brody warned, grinning at the disgusted faces and gags that emerged from the girls. "You're gayer than me, Brody. And I have a girlfriend!" Kaitlyn said, scowling at Brody's giggles.
This was a terrible idea. I've been thrown off of the tube more times than I can count. Not to mention, the poor old man running this tube shack, er, thingy, let Peyton drive the boat. I've been tossed harder than a disabled fly in a dryer. As of now, I'm desperately clutching onto a tube as it flies, taking me with it. "Kaitlyn! You good back there?" Bella yelled, clearly trying desperately to contain her laughter as Kaitlyn looked up at her, scowling grumpily. Brody was screaming. His throat just didn't stop. He was currently flying, clinging to that tube like a starfish. Peyton thought it'd be a great idea to buy two tubes, 'Double the fun!' she said. 'fun' my ass. This has to have been some sort of ancient punishment at some point. By the time it was Peyton and Bella's turn to get on the tubes, me and Brody were drenched and angry. We sought revenge. I slid into the seat, smiling devilishly at the fearful expression Bella sent me and the paled regret on Peyton's face. Once they were secure, I took off, cackling evilly at their terrified shrieks. Brody was laughing so hard, that I was worried about his throat. Quickly tossing him water, I swerved the boat, watching the tubes fly, the poor ropes that connected them to the boat barely holding on. I changed my mind, this is awesome.
I hate every-fucking-thing. I enjoyed it when I was watching the fear on Kaitlyn and Brody's faces, but shit. This is terrifying. I'm flying on a tube, about 10 feet above the water, while Kaitlyn and Brody laugh, harder than I thought a person could laugh. Bella's eyes were blown open, and she clutched the handles desperately, despite the smile she held. I could tell she had some fearful excitement, and I realized I did too. This was so much fun, even if I would die a painful, belly-flopped death if I let go of this tiny-ass plastic tube. I grit my teeth, glaring at Brody. If only looks could kill. I'd be a mass murderer but I'd probably be dead, too. "Bella! You good back there?" Kaitlyn mocked, bursting into uncontrollable laughter as Bella attempted to respond, but the tubes were thrown down back into the water. Me and Bella flew off, landing in the water with two pathetic splashes. Kaitlyn drove the boat next to us, parking it before she and Brody collapsed in helpless fits of laughter. I grumbled and climbed back on the boat, and I fucking hated the way my legs shook nervously. Bella sat next to me, sulking into her water. I nearly laughed but refrained from it as I didn't want to give her a hard time. This was going to be a long day.
Once they were all exhausted, they returned the boat and the tubes, thanking the old gentleman as he grumbled about kids and their shenanigans, or something like that. Kaitlyn allowed everyone to clean up before her and called an Uber right before she stepped into the cramped, dirty locker room for her turn. Brody stood outside, arguing with Peyton on what food they should get. Bella was just there. The second the uber arrived, Kaitlyn stepped out of the locker room, wearing a hoodie, some of her brother's basketball shorts, and some flip-flops. They all huddled into the car, and finally decided to just go to Chick-Fil-A. The ride was short, yet Kaitlyn enjoyed it. She smiled at the thought of spending so much time with her friends, and she cherished the moments silently, looking out the small window as her eyes absorbed the lush green forest that flew by.
They finally arrived at Chick-Fil-A, Brody and Peyton flying out of the car like over-excited monkeys. Kaitlyn thanked the Uber, chatting with him for a second before the man reluctantly parked, stepping out of the car to walk with Kaitlyn into the small food place. Kaitlyn explained to her friends that all of their stuff was in the man's car, and she offered him food, plus another Uber payment if he drove them back to their cabin. Brody ordered a kid's meal, taking his soda cup and combining all of the sodas like an idiot. Kaitlyn ordered a chicken sandwich, A large fry, and a frosted lemonade. Before they left, she actually got frosted lemonades for all of them, even the driver. She gave him the directions and thanked him dozens of times as they arrived. Once they had collected all of their stuff, he was off, smiling to himself at the kid's behavior.
