"Hey colton! Want to-" I get cut off by a group of girls.
"Do you want to come with us to the pool party tonight?" One of the girls says.
"Yeah!" Colton says then grins.
He turns back to me."what were you going to say?"
"Nothing." I quickly say then walk over to Kaitlyn.
"What's wrong Haley?" kaitlyn asks with concern in her eyes.
"Nothing."
"Haley, if it's about colton, just remember, he's a douche." Kaitlyn says.
"I said it's nothing!" I say then walk away.

"Haley? Don't you need a ride home?" Coltons asks.
"I can walk." I say.
"It's raining." he replies.
"I can walk in the rain." I snap and start walking down the sidewalk.
"What's up with you?" He asks.
"Is there something wrong with me wanting to walk?!" I ask.
"No. your just acting mad at me." he says
"I need to go get ready for the pool party with Kaitlyn. bye." I say and continue walking down the street to my house.
When I get to my house I get out an Aztec bikini that colton got me for my birthday.
(Flashback)
I rip open Coltons present, which is the last one.
I see an Aztec pattern, then two. I hold it up and realize that it's a bikini.
I look at colton and grin."I love it! It's plain and simple! Just like me!"
"Your not plain or simple!" he argues.
"Stop arguing with me! I won't ever agree with you!" I grumble."besides. its my birthday!"
"You aren't average or plain." he states in a serious tone.
"Whatever." I say, not believing him.
(End of flashback)
I sigh and change into it and a pair of shorts.
I grab an Aztec crop top and a SnapBack that says,"take a picture".
I call Kaitlyn.
"Hey girl!" I say.
"What's up?" She replies back.
"I have two questions. what are you wearing? And who's driving?" I ask.
"I'm wearing an Aztec bikini and a SnapBack that says 'take a picture'. What are you wearing? Oh! And Colton was going to take us, but he said that he has dates." she explains.
"I'm literally wearing the same thing. colton said he was going with the barbies." I reply sadly.
We call all the popular girls Barbies.
"That's really rude. what happened to never leaving your friends?" She says, annoyed.
"I don't know... ill talk to you at the party. I'll ask my brother or mason if he can drive us." I say.
"Bye!"
"Peace!"
I hang up and place the phone on the counter.
If your wondering who mason is, he's one of Coltons friends. he's our friend Natalie's boyfriend.
I called him.
"What up?" He replies in a funny voice.
"Any chance you can give me and Kaitlyn a ride to the pool?" I ask.
"I don't know. I'm driving Natalie there, so maybe." he replies then says something to someone around him."she said sure."
"Yay!" I scream.
"Haley. shut up. I'll be there in five." with that he hangs up.
Rude.
I text Kaitlyn and tell her that masons picking us up and to grab a beach towel.
The person that's throwing the party is super rich. they have their own in-ground swimming pool with a hot tub and a snack bar.
Beep beep!
I hear a horn honking and I run to the car and hop in the back seat.
"Safety first!" Natalie screams at the top of her lungs.
I'm just hoping that colton will talk to us and not the Barbies.
