Dinner and dorms

"Girls wake up." Said a lady's voice, she shook them slightly and they all sat up.

It was the receptionist again.

"It's school time, here are umbrellas, it's still raining." She handed them the umbrellas and left, Jackie looked at her phone, 10:02.

The pillows and blankets disappeared when they stepped down the steps and hit the concrete.

"Uhh, that was a good sleep." Willow said and rubbed her eyes.

Their stomachs growled, "Let's go, it's dinner time." Lily said, she led they way past all the carriages until they reached a crowd of students.

"I am so excited!" "I can't wait!" "Ugh! I hate school!" "I am so hungry!" They heard the kids chatting.

Suddenly the crowd moved as the students started descending into two big oak doors.

The girls had to hold hands to not loose each other in the crowd.

"Our stuff!" Willow cried.

"Don't worry! My brother said that Gnomes carry your luggage." Lily said.

"Wow, this castle is beautiful." Jackie said, as she looked around.

The room they were in had Red Velvet Armchairs and polished, circle, wood tables, paintings were hung up everywhere, some kids jumped out of the paintings and headed down hallways, leaving the kids in awe.

They walked on red carpet and followed the receptionist to more wood doors, these had golden words carved into the wood. On the left door it said Dinning and the right said Room, the doors opened on their own. It opened to a huge room with two long tables on either side, three chandeliers lined the ceiling, lighting the entire room. Both tables were silver with matching seats that seamed to be attached to the table. There were more students jumping out of more paintings and sitting in seats.

The receptionist led the group of kids to another silver table that had twelve seats. Two big ones in the middle, it had a man about 33 and a woman that looked the same, there was seven smaller seats filled with what looked like teachers. The receptionist sat down at one. The woman had a tall midnight-blue hat with silver stars on it, she had a matching robe and midnight-blue eyes and hair, the man looked the same. She tapped a glass so lightly yet everyone grew instantly silent.

"Let's give a warm welcome to our new students!" She said with a smile, everyone clapped for the 240 students.

"I am Ms. Midnight, your headmistress, this is Mr. Midnight, your headmaster. To avoid future questions, we are siblings. Now, before we have dinner, I will explain this year's rules and some things about Cycad Wood castle." Ms. Midnight said to the kids.

"Curfew is 12:00 pm, boys and girls are to be out of the other genders room at 11:00 pm. You do not have a bedtime, which means it is your responsibility to get a good night's rest. Bathrooms are in the dorms and and lounge, but are scattered around the castle. For our new students to know, there is a Girls Chamber with all the dorms, and a Boys Chamber with your dorms." She took a breath.

"You all have your own dorm, but it is big enough to fit three other people comfortably, it has a twin bed, a desk for homework and other things, a nightstand, drawers for clothes, a closet with hangers for your robes, a bathroom, and space for your pet and other needs. In the lounge, there is a small kitchen if you are hungry after or before meals. On the your dorm door it will have your name, locker number, and schedule, there are 34 kids in each class. Also, tryouts for Capture the Crystal are next week on Saturday, once again open to all grades." Everyone clapped at the last announcement. She took another breath and looked to her brother.
