Part A
The blazing sun sent waves onto the desert. Time seemed like it was still. A few plants were tumbling in the ways of the hot wind. The beings, still here.
The beings were still alive and to think that in the next few years they would die out. Turns out they seem to have a longer life span than humans. Beings were inelegant but not as smart as people made them out to be. They grew into different variants like ones that crawl on all fours, ones that can alert an entire horde, and some were even strong enough to wipe out a whole group of men. But as the desert was hot and dry while the beings walked around in search of food. Others would just sit and find some food by chewing on small animals or insects. One of the beings were walking around a cactus when suddenly.....
BANG
The being had its arm completely shot clean off. The being screamed & hurled in pain as it's ink like blood gushed out of it's newly shot off arm. The being tried to cover its head and heart as quick as possible but suddenly....
BANG
The beings head was completely shot clean off. The multiple shots came from on top of a mountain by the sorts. On top of that mountain was a figure with an oversize hood on their head along with a long black scarf with two trails at the end of it. The figure had a modified version of a Barrett M82 with laser sight along with the chamber being modified to where the firepower of the bullet can hit like two times as hard as a truck.
"128 down, and a billion more to go" The figure said with a raspy like voice. The figure was named Helm. Helm was an assassin who was constantly hired for certain commissions, task, or eliminations. He only had a certain way to live life in the apocalypse. He really did not care about rules or regulations or even the order in general. In fact Helm didn't even live inside of the walls. He lived in a small cabin he made inside of a cave. He had food, weapons, and supplies. you name it, the dude had it. He even had made his own scythe out of being tusk. It was a long titanium rod with a sharpened up and curved tusk from multiple beings. This weapon would only be used when he is on a commission for killing multiple beings at once. Helm also learned how to build things with advanced tech that was either from loot or scattered in the desert sands. This was all a part of Helm's survival. Did he depend on others? Nope. Did he cooperate with others to get work done? Absolutely not. Helm was a very independent person with his own ways to get things done. Although being alone must've felt like a dream come true to him, it got boring time and time again, often leaning him to have sad times where he wishes someone would be there with him throughout life.
Helm was going into the city's inner walls to claim his commission payment which was 20 bismuth chips and 300 quartz chips. Since the economies system crashed into the absolute ground as the host's plans were on the rise, people had to find a new way to buy or trade without actual money. Some people found using gold was an option but the order had different plans. The order wanted to use bismuth as it is more eye-catching than ordinary dollars. Depending on how big the bismuth was, the worth of it was wide as it went up to at least 100,000 quartz. The same thing is what happened with quartz chips. With the new economy system working, the order would be planning something big
"HERE YA GO FOR YA EXCELLENT WORK SOLIDER" a man in red hair and a dark magenta apron said. Helm looked at his payment and was actually surprised by it. "Wait...this is more than what I was assigned to do. Why is that?" Helm said in confusion. The man looked at Helm and smiled, "Cause, ya did the job a lot faster than expected, plus if I dint get ya fast enough, I've would've had some dummies who'd run the minute they saw those being's. The man chuckled at his own joke. Helm did have a slight laugh and just left without a trace. "I wonder, what is going on with that dude. is he just not the one to play games or even make one corny jokes here and there.." The commissioner said to himself.
Life may be hard from the seems, but you eventually have to work around that hardness
