Ashley is swimming around the castle perimeter,guarding the castle as the crowning of the new king was happening.She yawns as one of mermaid guards looked at her and rolled her eyes.Ashley notices it but doesn't say anything.The mermaid guard went up to another guard and started talking.Ashley looks around the ocean with not a bit of joy being there.She swims over towards the guards."I'm going to go up to look at the ceremony to see if everything is going okay up there." She says as they nod.She swims up towards the surface of the ocean.She makes it when they are in the middle of the speech of what he should do as a king.
She looks at Nereus' side profile and sighs.Not everyone knows this apart from Princess Teressa but she has had a huge crush on the Nereus for a couple of years but never had the courage to actually tell him.Her face turns light pink while Nereus was the king and he turned around with a proud smile on his face and mermaids and mermans around him claps.Nereus looks to his right to see Ashley staring at him and he waves at her.Ashley who wasn't paying attention looked shocked and alot more flushed.She ducks her head back underwater and sighs holding her chest.
It was a party that was being hold for the crowned king and everyone was invited.Ashley was beside Teressa who was talking about what was going on in her life.Teressa asked a question and when Ashley didn't answer she looked at her to see her making googly-eyes at her older brother.She begins laughing as Ashley looks at her in confusion."What are you laughing at?" Ashley asks.
"I'm laughing at you.You just need to put on your big girl tale and just tell Nereus you are complete in love with him." Teressa says putting her champaign on a counter swimming over towards Ashley.
"It's not as easy as you say,Princess Teressa.I'm scared of his rejection plus we barely know each other or even talk.Don't you think he's going to find it weird?.Plus now that he's king.." Ashley says not realizing that Teressa is looking frantically looking at her and behind her."What's wrong?" She asks realizing that Teressa isn't paying attention to her.Ashley turns around to see King Nereus with a shocked look on his face.She looks at Teressa who was even too ashamed to look back at her.
Ashley turns around and swims away ignoring Princess Teressa and King Nereus call her name.She swims all the way down to the bottom of ocean.She sits on a rock not realizing Nereus was following behind her."Ashley.." She perks up looking behind her to King Nereus with a sad look on his face.
"I'm so sorry,your highness." Ashley swims up bowing infront of her.
"Why are you apologizing?"Nereus said grabbing her shoulder to a stand."If I'm being quite honest.I'm in love with you too.You might be think that I'm just leing but I'm not.I always wanted to date you but I kept on swimming away thinking you might've not liked me."He tells her as happy tears drip down their faces.
