The only companion he has now is himself and he doesn't like it

He's got no one: everyone he has is either dead, left, hates him or just doesn't want him around. He takes a deep breath and releases it, smelling the air in his apartment. His whole apartment smells of weed and alcohol but he doesn't care, why should he, when no one gives two fucks about him? After all, his parents are dead, his grandmother's dead, Trevor is God knows where, doing God knows what, Jenny can't stand him, Tess is with her husband, Harvey hates him for betraying for Harvey after Jessica blackmailed to send Mike to prison after she found out through Trevor that Mike is a fraud, Donna hates him for betraying Harvey, Jessica wants him out of her firm but doesn't want to lose Harvey if Mike leaves, Louis loads him with work that takes him all night to do, so what's the point of caring about himself when the people he considers to be family doesn't?

He just doesn't see the point in caring about anything anymore. Mike gets off his couch and walks to the shower, turning it on as high as it will go before stripping out of his sweatpants and faded t-shirt and stepping underneath the scalding hot water, not giving it much thought if it burns him, it's not like anyone would care if he turned up to work with red skin.

After washing his hair and body, Mike stands under the hot spray as long as he can before reluctantly turning off the faucet and wrapping one of the two towels that are on the closed toilet seat lid around his waist while using the second one to dry his hair and going into his bedroom where his suit for the day is hung up on the back of his door, waiting to be put on.

Once his black suit is on, Mike slips his shoes on and grabs his case files from his bedside table along with his fully charged phone, his Ipod, his two chargers, his headphones, as well as his wallet that holds his credit cards along with his emergency 40 dollars and puts them into his messenger bag, putting his bag over his shoulder as he gulps down a cup of coffee and chows down half a bagel and grabs his bike and helmet before leaving his apartment to go to work before the sun is even in the sky.

He locks his bike at the bike rack a little after 6 am before walking into the empty building, kissing Rachel a good morning kiss before they walk to the elevators together in silence. He's glad that only Rachel is in at this time of the morning.

He steps into the elevator with Rachel beside him and hits the button for the fiftieth floor. It doesn't take long before he and Rachel are stepping out of the elevator and into the lobby of the fiftieth floor of Pearson Darby. They part ways in the lobby with Rachel telling him to come find her if things get too much for him before kissing him and walking to her office, leaving him alone. He walks to Harvey's glass office, un-surprised when he doesn't see his boss if his secretary, and puts Harvey's pile of completed files on his desk before delivering the completed files that he did for Louis last night to the rat faced mans office before walking to his new unwanted and undeservingly office and working on the latest case that Jessica assigned to Harvey thus it being assigned to him.

Mike sighs as he walks up to Donna's desk, an unemotional look on his face.

"Is he in there?" He asks the secretary coldly, Donna, who's been treating him like shit for the past month, looks up from her computer at the coldness of his voice. "He's in there but he doesn't want to see you and even if he did, I wouldn't let you." The redhead hisses, Mike gives her an evil smirk before slamming the file on her counter. "The feeling's fucking mutual, believe me, if I didn't like this job so much, I'd be out of the fucking door, never got been seen or heard from ever again, it'd be Christmas come fucking early for all of you wouldn't it?" Mike tells the secretary, venom coating every syllable before he turns on his heel and saunters back to his office, closing his office door, unaware of the silent conversation between Closer and secretary.

Mike can't handle it anymore: he can't handle the cold stares that Harvey and Donna and Louis give him as he walks past them, he can't handle the workload that he has to do, he can't handle the deadlines he has to meet for the workload, but above all, he can't handle being treated like a total stranger that ran over their puppy by his own so-called family. With a sigh, he opens his laptop and begins typing, tears welling up in his dull blue eyes. After he prints the document out, Mike stands up, grabs his stuff, removes his ID from his wallet and walks to Jessica's empty office, one of the last places he wants to be regardless of if it's empty, puts the document and ID on her closed laptop and walks out, walking to the elevator, looking one last time at the name on the door before stepping into the elevator and leaving the law firm, never to return to the place ever again with Rachel at his side.

He's done.
