You are the reason, Joshuah Bronkman, that I stay up late at night, the reason I cry so much, the reason I hate myself. But you're also the reason I know what it's like to love someone so much, ur drives you crazy.
"Lillian and Sarah," Mrs. Brown paired, "Billy and Isabelle, Tanner and Sage, Maddison and Jonah, Cleo and Clair, Hunter and Lucas."
She almost had everyone paired up, 'god, please not Henry.' I thought
"Cheryll and Sam," she continued, "Anna and Alex, Piper and Henry."
'Thank god'
"And lastly, Katherine and Joshuah."
'Who?' I looked around to try and see the Joshuah she was talking about. Then, I saw him, Josh. My best friend all through elementary.
"These are your partners for our next project. You and your partner are writing two separate poems, and the rest of the class will have to guess who they are about. Any questions?"
I looked over at Josh, he saw and waved with a soft smile touching his lips. I waved back.
"No questions? Awesome, poems are due Wednesday."
Six day, we have six days to write a single poem? There has to be a catch.
"The catch is..."
There it is.
"...the poem has to be about your partner. What do they love? What do they hate? Weaknesses? Strengths? Make it deep, and fun to read."
Josh was always the nice, fun, and strangely open about how he felt. I got this project in the bag.
