Kim Y/n, bisexual, was that one typical extrovert but not nosy girl. She worked as a barista for one of the popular cafes in her city while attending her college's third year. Everyone was mesmerised by how beautiful she was and how sweetly she talked to everyone. Her voice was sweet like sugar... people might get diabetic because of it.

She was approached by many girls and guys but she didn't feel ready for a relationship yet and she refused them very politely.

Time passed and she turned 20 and gave herself a very pretty diary as a gift. She always wanted one to write down all her feelings. Even though she was that one cheerful extrovert who everyone loved, she was completely opposite. Just as they say, "the happiest eyes have cried the most tears". She wanted someone to share her real self with. She wanted to share the KIM Y/N with someone and not the Y/n who is very pretty and happy.

She named the diary Haechan. The diary was her best friend. Her full sun in the darkness. She wrote down her rants and happiness in that diary every night before sleeping.

The diary had seen her through ups and downs. The diary loved her. He was in love. But he knew he couldn't be with her one and only... he was just a non-living diary..

2 years passed and today Y/n was writing her last page of Haechan. Haechan was holding his urge to cry out because this was his last page today.. he won't be able to listen to her anymore.. but he will forever keep these memories with him.

Y/n finished writing her last page of Haechan and closed him. She went to sleep as usual, as if nothing happened. Haechan didn't notice it and cried in his drawer at the thought of not being able to hear about Y/n everyday like he always did.

-NEXT MORNING-

As usual Y/n woke up early and studied for her lessons, soon going for her college lessons and then to her part-time job at the café.

As soon as she returned home late at night, Haechan saw her with hope in his invisible eyes through the small hole the drawer had but his hopes were crushed after seeing something new but familiar in her hands. It was a new diary. She bought a new one? Well, yes.

It hurts Haechan that now Y/n will share everything with a new diary instead of him.

Haechan saw her write about her day in the new diary while he cried silent tears. Afterall he was not a living thing. No one would hear him even though he cried out loud.

Y/n finished writing and laid on her bed and drifted to sleep while haechan cried out very softly in the dark drawer where the only light source was the lamp in the room, which was closed now.

Haechan tried to see where the new diary was and he saw that Y/n put her in a very well decorated place which he has never been to. The new diary must be more special to Y/n.

Haechan's drawer was just like his life. Very dark and the only light source being the owner, which had now replaced him.

Haechan cried everyday and every night after being replaced by the new diary.

-A YEAR LATER-

Y/n was moving out and was cleaning her house and had to clean her house to do a final packing.

She opened the drawer where she had kept Haechan. She saw her first friend there and all the memories flashed by.

The only thought she had after picking him up was...

..."why is this diary wet?
