The surprise

Hii... Friends...
Here is another short story...

Lets start....

Vaishnavi was waiting a lot.

*ting tong *

The bell rang and vaishnavi rushed towards the door.

"A letter for you ma'am. " the postman said and gave the letter and left.

Vaishnavi stared at the letter for some time. Then she went inside and closed the door. She then took out the letter and unfolded it. She started reading it.

Dear vishu di,

Hope that you are in a pink of wealth. I am also fine here. I am sorry again to say that I am not coming this time also. I have some work left here. Even the boss is not giving me any leave. I applied a lot for leave but the boss isn't giving it.I am really sorry that this time also we won't celebrate this Christmas together. I am trying a lot for leave but the boss, you know that he isn't giving me. I am really sorry that we won't be celebrating this festival also together.

I hope that you are doing fine there in the house. I know that you are missing me. But don't worry, I will try to come later if the boss gives me a leave.

Hope that you will be waiting.

This was written in the letter.

"Again...." Vaishnavi said and folded the letter. She kept it in a drawer where there were many more letters,

"This is the 10th time. " vaishnavi said being sad,

She then went to her bed and lied on it. She was in her thoughts, sad thoughts. She was thinking that again his brother sid was not able to come to celebrate another festival with her. He always says that his boss does not give him a leave. And many more. She soon fell asleep.

Vaishnavi woke up the next morning, the Christmas morning. She woke up as the sun rays disturbed her sleep. She stood up and put the curtains and went again to sleep.

After some time

"Let me sleep.... " vaishnavi said as somebody was

shaking her.

"I said let me sleep!!!" Vaishnavi shouted as she hates being disturbed while sleeping.

Suddenly, she thought that who is in her home as she lives all alone and sid is also not coming. She quickly woke up and saw towards the person. She rubbed her eyes because she got a blurry vision.

"Sid?!!" Vaishnavi was confused, happy and shoked at the same time.

"Tada!!! Yes.... Sid here.... Any problem??? " sid asked,

"No... But- "vaishnavi was cut by sid in between.

That letter which I sent???"

"Yes...."

"That was just a prank with you di . "

" Prank??? "

"Yes!!!"

"I will kill you for this prank!!! " vaishnavi said and jumped out of her bed.

"Woah Woah Woah!!! Calm down di!!! Calm down!!!" Sid said as vaishnavi was hitting him friendly.

"Why did you play such a bad prank???"vaishnavi asked.

"I wanted to give you a surprise. That's why." Sid said taking the Apple kept on the table and biting it.

"Very bad surprise.... " vaishnavi murmured.

'Only for you. By the way di, you should take care of your surroundings. What if there was a thief??? I can't leave this house being dependent on you." Sid said.

"You can. And there is no thief. So don't worry." Vaishnavi said.

"Really??? " sid asked.

"Yes. And at least brush your teeth. said changing the topic."vaishnavi

"I brushed them while you were sleeping. "Sid said finishing the Apple.

"So go and make breakfast. "Vaishnavi said and went to the washroom and brushed her teeth.

"After giving such a surprise, I have to make breakfast also now. " sid said and went out. Vaishnavi laughed for it. After some time, she came out and saw many dishes prepared for her.

"You have definitely ordered them because you can never make a burger also for me." Vaishnavi said sitting on the chair.

"Yes, Who in the world would make food for you di???" Sid said and laughed.

Vaishnavi gave him friendly punches for it.

"Ok Ok enough now. Have your food di. "sid said revealing vaishnavi 's favorite food.

Vaishnavi 's mouth filled with water on seeing it. She quickly attacked on the food. After some time, they finished.

Vaishnavi and sid celebrated Christmas Eve and then sid stayed there for another day.

In morning

"Is it compulsory for you to go???" Vaishnavi asked.

"Yes di.... I have to... " sid said keeping his clothes in his suitcase.

"Cheer up yaar. I will come soon. " sid said.

"After 4 years. Right??? "Vaishnavi asked.

"Hehe no "sid said.

"Ok now.... Let me go... You take care and don't be sad. I will come soon." Sid said.

"And ya, take care of the home. Don't be dozed so much in your sleep. "Sid said teasing his sister vaishnavi.

"Hmm bye." saying so, sid went.

Bye...." Vaishnavi said sadly and watched sid go.

After some time, she wake up from dream.
"Ahh!!! Was it a dream!¡¿¡ but good one😅"
.Then she stood up and wrote about her experiences in her diary. Then she slept again.
