Alex - The Guardian of the Air

The City

Since that day the guardians disappeared. No one ever saw them again. The people were happy, how can they ever trust someone who betrayed them. But this is not how this story starts, it starts on the Isle of sun and moon, called Solunam, in a forest outside the city of dawn, Auror.

Redheaded girl's POV, PM:

Food... I thought to myself as I ran, chasing after a shorp, also known as a land-shrimp. In my right hand, I held my homemade spear. There was strong wind resistance so I will need a lot of power to hit the shorp. I ran up a hill and jumped and used all my power to throw the spear. But the moment I let go of the spear the direction of the wind turned. It blew so hard that I fell down to the ground and that the spear hit a tree right behind the shorp. When my spear hit the tree the wind went back to normal. I got up and saw that the shorp was gone. That was strange.

I started to search for a new shorp. Suddenly a strange sound started. Maybe it could something to eat so I followed the noise. The closer I got the stronger the sound got. It seemed to come from behind shrubbery. I crawled through the bush and got up on the other side. It was a whole civilization of people that looked like me. It was at least hundreds of them. I got scared and fell backward into the bush again.

Tori's POV, PM:

Why did I even agree to go to this concert? My dad is a good singer, but he has ruined my life with his carrier. Even if it's cool to say that my dad is the biggest singer of Solunam, so did all my old friends just wanna get free tickets. And now I have no friends. There's literally no meaning with being here, I know every song he's gonna play.

I looked around and saw a girl falling backward and I ran to her to see if she was okay. She looked like my age, and her clothes were broken. Her hair was red like an apple. I had never seen anyone with that red hair.

"Hi, are you okay?" I asked. She gave me a panicked look and crawled into the bush behind her. Wonder why she got so scared.

Suddenly I realized, she crawled into the bush behind her and the forest behind that bush is the most dangerous place in the city. It's called the Never woods, because when you go in you never come back. I need to find her before she gets lost. I crawled through the bush and got into the woods.

Redheaded girl's POV, PM:

What did just happen? People like me had been living this close. I have always wondered if I was the only one. It has made me feel... special. She talked to me, it feels like someone has talked to me before. I did understand her but I can't talk like that.

I was on my way home, home to my cave. Suddenly I heard a scream. What if it is her, the girl? She had gone after me. But that scream, she was really scared. I... I need to help her. Then I ran in the direction where she had screamed.

Tori's POV, PM:

Where could she be? I went in directly after her, she couldn't have gotten this far. What if we'll never come back? What if she's the one who tricks people like me to go in so she can eat us? Maybe she's a cannibal.

Suddenly I heard a stick break. I turned around to see who stepped on it. But there was no one there. My pulse was raising. I heard it again, behind me. Then I turned again and again. Whatever it was, it surrounded me. And it wanted me to get scared, and it succeeded. Where ever I looked nothing. It felt like I was in a horror movie. I turned around again to see a beast. The purple eyes were shifting in different shades, like an energy source coming from its eyes. I screamed as it grabbed me with its bony hand. This is how I die. I didn't even get to say goodbye to my parents. Just as I thought I was going to take my last breath something happened.

"Let go!" someone said behind me.

Redheaded girl's POV, PM:

When I found her, a big scary creature had her in its grip and I was hiding in the shadows. It had big claws and was all black like a shadow. But that thing seemed familiar. Suddenly everything around me changed to another place, I was not in the forest anymore. That same creature was holding a woman in the exact same way. Then a little boy beside me was yelling "let go". Then everything went back to normal.

I have a choice, accept other people and help her or live alone and run away.

"Let go!" I said and stepped out in the light.
The creature roared at me. It chose battle and I was going to give it what it wants. I ran up a little hill and jumped to attack. Then everything went black, or should I say green?

Tori's POV, PM:

The creature roared and I heard someone starting to run behind me. I tried to see what happened and it was the girl I looked for. She jumped really high and held up her fist. Then her eyes closed and she started falling down, she must have fainted. But before she got to the ground something happened. A loud sound came from nowhere and the girl's eyes opened at the exact same time the sound came. Her eyes glowed bright green, she had smoke coming out of each hand, and sometimes it flickered green inside the smoke. Her feet didn't touch the ground and green energy was all around her. What is she?
