On the twelfth hour of the first of October, 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual in only the fact that none of them had been pregnant when the day first began.
On the nineteenth hour of the twentieth of November, 1963, 7 siblings gathered for a light supper with their father. This was unusual in only the fact that their father had never met them before.
On the thirteenth hour of the second of April, 2019, 6 siblings arrived back in the lobby of their home. This was unusual in only the fact that their home was occupied by 6 strangers, their father, and a brother they thought to be dead.
When the Umbrella Academy (or at least, what remains of it) arrives back in 2019 after a terrible stint in the 1960s, they assume the best: that their timeline will be the way they left it, with their homes and friends and families.
Except here's the thing about timelines: they're not what you expect. They're certainly not the same as what was before.
