☁️When You're Insecure About Your Laugh (fluff)☁️

You and your friends were at the mall, hanging out together. The three of you guys were in a café, drinking some coffee as you guys chats about stuff until one of your friends cracked a joke that made you laugh a lot. One of your friends, Minju pointed out your laugh.

Minju: "y/n, your laugh is so loud, can you please keep it down?"

She said with a "nice" tone. You were surprised at Minju's reaction because usually, no one pointed out how you laughed. After all, it's just how you usually laugh. You got quite uncomfortable because of Minju's reaction to your laugh.

Yerin: "Minju, don't say that to y/n"

Minju: "what do you mean??? I said that so other customers won't be uncomfortable because of her?!"

Yerin can't say anything else, she looked at you sadly. It was her idea to bring Minju because usually, it was just you and Yerin both.

You: "ah, my makeup is kinda fading, I will go fix it in the restroom"

You excused yourself to go to the restroom, you're actually hiding in one of the stalls to ask Chan to pick you up. There is no one else so you decided to call him.

[On the phone]

You: "Chan, can you pick me up?"

Chan: "I thought you're going to hang out for 3 more hours??"

You: "uh... I just remembered I have something important to do today, I decided to go home first, Yerin will be with Minju so she won't be alone"

Chan: "oh, okay then, will be there in 20 minutes"

[Phone call ended]

You got out of the stall to find Yerin standing in front of it.

Yerin: "y/n... I'm so sorry for Minju's attitude, I'm sorry for ruining our special hangout"

Yerin hugged you since she felt so bad for you.

You: "ah, it's okay, it's totally fine, you can continue hanging out with Minju, I think she's uncomfortable with my presence anyway. If she asks why I went home early, just tell her because I have something important to do"

Yerin: "okay then, I'm really sorry, I promise we can hang out later anytime soon, just the both of us, or maybe you can ask your boyfriend to come if you want to"

You: "thanks, Yerin-a. I need to go to the lobby now, Chan will be there in a few minutes"

Yerin: "okay..."

You walked out of the restroom, leaving Yerin inside, Minju didn't even see you left because she was busy with her phone. Yerin felt bad because she thought that it was her fault that you left, even though it was Minju's fault and you didn't blame any of it on Yerin.

You waited in the lobby for Chan, you waited for a few minutes and you saw a familiar car pulling over the lobby to pick you up. You walked up to the car and got in the passenger seat beside Chan.

Chan: "how was today's hangout?"

You: "it's great!"

You tried to hide your sadness, but Chan realized it.

Chan: "you're hiding something again from me, aren't you?"

You: "of course not, why would I??"

Chan knew that something was wrong, he quickly drove to your apartment. When you're busy cleaning yourself in the bathroom, changing your clothes and stuff. Chan sat in the living room and played a video on the TV, it was a compilation of funny animal clips because he knew that those stuff made you laugh the most.

When you're done cleaning yourself and changing your clothes, you sat beside him and watched the video that he played. You want to laugh at the cute and funny clips of the animals, but you were suddenly reminded of Minju's words. You were scared that Chan would be uncomfortable if you kept laughing the way you used to, so you're not even in the mood to laugh anymore.

Chan is enjoying the video, but slowly realizing that you weren't laughing at all so he got worried.

Chan: "sweetie? Are you sad? You usually laughed at these videos, look at those cute animals doing funny things"

Chan tried to comfort you, you cried because you know he didn't mind you crying even if you cried a lot.

Chan: "why did you cry?? You can tell me everything"

You: "I'm scared that my laugh will make you uncomfortable to be with me, I'm scared that you might not like me anymore because of my laugh"

You told Chan while sobbing hard.

Chan: "who told you that?? Your laugh is very special to me, it makes both of us happy, I am happy hearing you laugh"

You: "isn't my laugh loud?? I'm scared that you will get embarrassed if people started staring at us for me laughing too loud"

Chan: "no no no, I will never get embarrassed if people stared at us for your laugh, other than embarrassment, I will feel proud because people will know that I have the most cheerful and bright girlfriend with a beautiful laugh"

Chan hugged you as you slowly forgot Minju's words.

Chan: "you want to continue watching the video?"

You: "yes please!"

You said cheerfully after Chan comforted you.

Chan: "that's my y/n"

He smiled at you as you guys continued watching the video along with laughs echoing through the room.
