Hannah's POV
I looked out of the window as I watched the kids play near the garden, right beside the Han River. I smiled softly before looking down at the empty canvas. A sigh escaped my lips as I lazily ran the paint brush over the canvas.
It was spring again.
It's terrifying how fast time flies by. Especially when you don't pay attention to it. But for me, it was so hard. So hard to watch and feel every moment, the time passed so slowly that it started making me feel frustrated.
"Artist's block?"
I flinched as I heard someone speak right behind me. "Yeah." I said. "Don't you have work today?"
"Hmm... I do." He paused to place the coffee mugs on the table beside me. "You are getting more and more reckless by time, Hannah." He muttered as he placed something warm over my shoulder. I smiled and looked at the snow falling down the sky. "Is this the last snow of the year." He sat beside me as we both watched the snow fall, sipping the hot chocolate he made for us earlier, in silence. As if none of us wanted to speak anymore. We enjoyed each other's company even though it was silence and we had nothing to say.
"It's been 6 years now. How long are you going to wait?" Finally the silence was broke by him, he looked at me, even though he knew the answer. "Hey Duri." His eyes scanned my face while trying to form words, we stared at each other, conveying our feelings with our eyes. "I am going to wait too."
"Am I worth waiting?" I asked him, lowering my gaze. "Life is too short to waste, you know right? I don't want you to get hurt..."
"Someone once said, no matter how much or how often people hurt each other, loving someone is never a waste." He patted my head and got up. "I will be waiting for you."
That's my answer.
"Thank you."
I sat there as I watched him smile at me, genuinely. You might be wondering, what mature discussion we were having. But I wasn't always this way, I wasn't always this sad or mature, unlike that I was more childlike and hopeless romantic. Life to me was like playhouse, until I met her. . .
Hey Hannah?
Remember the first time we met?
You know how I believed in things like fate? Well, I think that was fate.
You can laugh if you want.
HANNAH : CHAPTER 1
"Stop slacking, will ya? Gimme a hand." My dad yelled at me, making me look up at him with a sigh. We have been working in the little garden in our backyard for 2 hours now. He was looking after my mother's little vegetable garden, as it snowed earlier, mom sent us to clean the garden and pluck the vegetable for dinner.
February was approaching. I can't wait to get out of this town and go to Seoul.
"Get the carrots, carrot pudding for dinner." Dad smiled, making me nod and squat down.
"Dad, it's getting cold. Can we get inside after this one?" I asked with a pout. My dad always melted when I acted cute. No wait, I am always cute. "Please, dad~" I dragged the sentence while playing with the carrots as bunny ears.
