Second Sight: The Realization

"Ah..." I drew out. That was really tiring.

I still didn't know why I had to attend cram school but there's one good reason why I looked forward to go here every after school and that's enough for me.

I just still couldn't believe that she's the reason. Miyamoto Hana was the reason. A really good reason indeed. I looked forward to go here just to see her; her face, her eyes, and her blank and unadorned emotions. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I didn't want to look away, even just for a split second. I wanted to catch her once in a blue moon smile. I really wanted to see it. I wanted to see what it looks like. I was curious about it. Is it just a simple smile? Or will it extend to her ears? Will her eyes smile, too? Does she have a cute dimple? Or does she have two? Oh, I really wanted to see it. I would do anything just to see it. Even follow her to her house.

 Follow her? That's stalking. I don't do stalking. Why am I thinking that?

"Stop it, Yuya" I hissed to myself.

Then I suddenly felt something. It's the feeling that someone was staring at you. I slowly glanced beside me, she's staring at me!

"Is this your favorite seat?"

She spoke. Should I answer her?  What am I going to answer? I don't know. But I knew to myself that it was a simple question.

"You can just say yes or a no" she bluntly told me.

Did she hear me? She could read minds? Of course not.

"If you don't want to tell me, it's okay" she smiled and glanced outside the window.

 Did she just smile? Finally! I saw it. The smile that I had been wanting to see. Even though that was quick and simple, I was still glad I got to see it. I would never forget that. I smiled.

"Uh... Miyamoto-san" I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to hear her voice more.

"Yes?" She looked at me, anticipating.

"Let me..." I hesitated for awhile but she still waited "...answer your question" I continued.

"Okay."

"Yes..." I started. "This is my favorite seat"

"Me, too" she excitedly answered as she smiled again but this time, her eyes smiled, too. My heart jumped in happiness and smiled. "You have a cute smile"

"Eh?" Well, I already knew that I had a cute smile but... that was so sudden.

"It's true. You really have a cute smile. Just like Ken" she explained.

"K-ken?" I didn't know but I felt something. An arrow just stabbed my heart.

"Yeah, Ken. My big brother"

"Oh... your brother" an angel suddenly pulled out the arrow and healed my heart. "I didn't know you have a brother" What a relief that he's just her brother. But so what if he's not her brother? I didn't know.

"You never asked me" she answered.

"You have a point" I sniggered. "Where is he?" Now that I already knew she had a brother, this was now the right time to know all about her.

"He's gone" she answered.

"What do you mean? Did he leave? Where did he go?" I asked breathlessly. She stared at me. "Uh... not that I'm invading your life. I'm just... curious. T-that's all. J-just curious about you" I quickly explained myself.

She smiled. "He didn't leave us. He just... needed to rest."

"Rest? What do you mean?" I curiously crossed my eyebrows.
