I'm scrolling through Instagram when Belly flops onto my bed with a sigh.
"What's up Bell?" I question her
"Conrad being Conrad" she replies
"Did something finally happen between you two?" I ask excitedly
"Conrad and I were talking by the pool, just the two of us, and it... felt different."
"Was it a good different?" I say while wiggling my eyebrows
"I don't know. I mean, Jere and Steven came down and they all just left and went to the beach."
"Wait, they're at the bonfire?"
I'd heard about the annual bonfire in cousins every year to celebrate the start of summer, but I never went. I was always too scared.
"...Why don't we go? I hesitantly ask her.
I needed to move on from Jeremiah and maybe I'd meet a cute guy there.
"It's just some stupid beach bonfire. It's not like we were invited either." She says with a sigh "But....I did meet a cute guy at the gas station on the way here who asked me to come."
"Please Belly. It'll be so much fun. Conrad will be there and you can make him jealous. I'll even let you borrow one of my dresses." I beg her while giving her my best puppy dog eyes.
"Fine. You owe me." She says while rolling her eyes and getting up.

"Rena, I love you, but there is no way in hell I'm wearing that. You'll be able to see my underwear underneath it!" Belly gasps, holding up a sheer pink slip dress.
"Oh cmon B, it'll be so cute."
"Just wear a thong." Belly's best friend from home, Taylor, yells through the phone
"No! Thongs are unhygienic. Wearing a thong is basically like-like flossing your butthole!"
"Ew! Belly, thongs are mainstream." Taylor laughs before ending the call.
"Fine. I'll wear the dress. But I'm not wearing a thong!" Belly says while throwing a random shirt at my head.
The shirt misses me and I laugh. I dig through my closet and turn around to see Belly wearing the dress. My jaw drops.
