By the time they got back to Ted's flat, it was 3 am and Mandy and Ted were both exhausted to say the least. They said goodnight and went to their prospective rooms. Mandy tore off her dress and pulled on the biggest sweatshirt she could find before climbing into bed with a drunken smile.
Her alarm buzzed her awake at 9 am to prepare for brunch with Rebecca and Keeley. Luckily, she had left herself ibuprofen and a water bottle before she left for the club the night before, anticipating she might get sloppy drunk (which she did).
She hopped into the shower in the restroom attached to her room and washed away her sins of the night before. When she stepped into her robe, she felt like a brand new woman. She opted for simple makeup with a light foundation, some blush, and her eyebrows done.
She also coated her eyelashes in a light mascara, blow dried, and curled her hair in beach waves. Classic Californian, she giggled to herself. She put on a cottage core style light blue dress and some cute wedges along with her necklace. She liked to wear it to mess with when she was bored or nervous.
Mandy headed into the kitchen to grab some fresh water and ran into Ted.
"Oh hey, Uncle Ted! I'm just getting ready for brunch with Keeley and Rebecca, how are you?"
"Well hiya Mandy, I'm glad you're getting along with them they're both lovely women. I'm just nursing this here headache and fixing breakfast so I can walk around like a person today," Ted replies as he pulls his sunglasses over his eyes and winces when he smiles.
"Well, I should get going but dinner tonight with Beard, right?"
"Yes, meet us at The Crown and Armor, it's a legendary spot you've gotta get familiar with."
"See you then!" She says as she slowly opens and closes the door quietly.
Her lift arrives at Rebecca's right as Roy is pulling away. Mandy figured he'd dropped her off so she could get properly drunk at brunch as well, which she also intended on doing.
"Hello beautifuls!" Mandy chimes as she walks through Rebecca's door.
"The babe of the hour, Mandy!" Keeley says as she pulls her into a hug.
"I'm so glad you both made it. Honestly, after last night, I wasn't sure if any of us would." Rebecca laughed, flashing her gorgeous smile.
"Speaking of last night... I've got questions for both of you, but first I need to know how much everyone remembers yeah? Because Mandy love, you were fucking wasted" Keeley laughed and playfully shoved the girl.
They sat on Rebecca's couch and Mandy chose to sit in the single recliner in the living room, wanting to put her feet up since they were still sore from the dancing.
"Alright, I remember the whole night actually. The re-telling of my own personal hell sobered me up and then Jamie cut me off from drinks. What about you, Rebecca?"
"Well, I actually only drank three glasses of wine, so I remember it all. Now Keeley get on with it, what did you see?" Rebecca excitedly asks as she poured the three ladies mimosas.
"Rebecca, are you into Ted?" Keeley asked getting straight to the point.
"Oh this is gonna be interesting," Mandy remarked, causing Keeley to turn her gaze in her direction.
"Mandy, are you into Jamie?" Keeley asked, causing Rebecca to let out a loud laugh. "Alright, now both of you answer." Keeley smiled and put her feet on the table, enjoying the chaos she had just begun.
"I'm unfortunately not sure about my answer," Rebecca started, causing the other two to stare intently at her as she spoke. "Ted is a fine man, but I don't know if we're romantically compatible honestly. Yes, I go to him to speak about my problems if Keeley isn't around, but does that mean I'm into him? I... I don't honestly know."
