The loud sound of a gong rang through the monastery. Cole was happily sleeping in his room.. well, at least he WAS. "COLE, KAI, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME YOU'VE SLEPT IN! GET OVER TO THE COURTYARD NOW!" Nya's voice yelled out. Cole groaned, rolling over. The gong rang again and Cole muttered something inaudible. He got up and stretched. Quickly getting on his daywear he ran out his room and headed to the courtyard, Kai following behind him.
They both arrived, the rest of the team standing and waiting for the two. But they noticed Master Wu wasn't there.
"Where's Master Wu?" Cole asked, yawning. Kai yawned aswell and rubbed his eyes. "He went out for something, said it was urgent." Jay answered, gesturing to the doors behind him.
"And while you two were sleeping, Wu told us about sightings of a vengestone smuggling operation near the outskirts of Ninjago city." Nya said, crossing her arms. Kai frowned. "So, we should get ready and head off as soon as possible." Lloyd started, walking off. "Make sure to bring bug spray." Lloyd finished, going through a door.
|LATER . . TIME; 1:03 PM. LOCATION; FOREST.|
The Ninja stood in a dark forest, all six suited up. Jay looked around. "Soo, where do we start?" He asked, looking to Lloyd. Lloyd pointed west and responded "Over that way." Kai looked at Lloyd. "How do you know that's where to look?" He muttered. "Can't you hear the talking?" Zane asked, while Kai shook his head.
"probably too busy talking to notice." Jay snorted, looking at Kai. "HE-" Kai started, Cole covering his mouth. "We don't want to be heard." Cole stated, and he walked towards the other voice. Everyone else followed. They peaked over a bush and saw an unfamiliar face. "Finally. I can complete my studies, and be the most beloved scientist in all of Ninjago!" The new person said, sounding very excited.
"..Is it just me, or does that guy sound nuts?" Jay whispered to Kai. Kai nodded. The group looked over to the right and saw a large cart, most likely filled with Vengestone. "So, we ambush em? A little sneak attack?" Jay made chopping motions. Kai rolled his eyes. "No, that's a terr-" "Great plan!" Kai spoke, getting cut off by Lloyd. "Okay. You three go on the opposite side, then on my signal, we surprise him." Lloyd pointed to Jay, Kai and Cole.
"..alright." Cole sighed, and he lead the other two as they walked around. Jay did a small wave once they were on the other side. Lloyd did a hand motion. "One, two..THREE!" They leapt out, surprising the man. He jumped. "Oh helloo, your just in time." He grinned, looking at the Ninja. "Give up now or- wait, time for what?" Cole asked, lowering his weapon.
"For..THE MAIN, EVENT!" He shouted, and suddenly the forest behind the man disappeared. It was a sheet. There stood a large round machine, that looked like a portal. It was on and the colours were green and purple, swirling together in the vortex. "Huh?" Lloyd asked. "Zane, do you know what that is?" Nya asked, looking at their nindroid companion. "It does not match anything in my database."
Suddenly, they started to get sucked in. "Oh no- HOLD ONTO SOMETHING!" Cole yelled out. They looked around and saw nothing. The man from earlier already fled behind a tree. "USE SPINJITZU!" Jay screamed, turning into his iconic blue form of wind. The others did aswell, but then they ended up losing their balance and flying towards the vortex. "HOLD ON!" Cole yelled. Jay was screaming.

They were gone. The machine turned off and the man walked in front of the machine. "Well. That seems to have worked!" He clapped his hands together and grinned.

"WOOOAH-" The ninja all screamed. Currently they were falling different ways, the wind carrying some of them farther than others. Cole looked at the desert landscape below. "This isn't Ninjago-"
