Trigger warning

As I ran through the hallway, I continued to keep a firm grip on my side. Perhaps this was a bad idea. But my sister was just ahead of me, running.. way too fast. Either way, I had to hurry up. Whoever this villain was, he was strong. And my sister was still in training. I knew how hotheaded she could be and I couldn't help but imagine she'd try to take on that guy by herself. If Black Wing failed that is.
The school building was placed in a square with a single missing side in the back. It was pretty big building because there were quite a few people that went to it. This only made things harder for me though. When I turned the corner, I started slowing down. Breathing was becoming pretty hard now. Perhaps I really did get myself hurt, but that wasn't important right now. What mattered was that I caught up to Abigail. Just then I noticed exactly her ahead of me. I took a deep breath and called out to her, "Abigail!"
When the girl came to a stop, I started to slow down a little bit. As she turned, I was a little surprised. She was wearing a mask over her nose and mouth that resembled that of a gasmask. I didn't know she used that. But whatever. I was happy and relieved to see her nonetheless.
"Peter," she started, raising her voice so I could hear her from where I was, "you need to- Look out!"
I turned my head as my twin called out to me and noticed the large shadow of the villain appear through the window. I didn't have time to react and before I knew it, I felt the man crash into me along with the rest of the wall. I heard glass shatter, and possibly some bones breaking upon impact. Perhaps coming after my sister truly was a stupid idea.

I let out a gasp as I came to and wanted to sit up immediately. But a stabbing pain in my side stopped me from moving. I turned my gaze down to see a piece of glass stuck in my side. Almost immediately I let out a soft whine. I couldn't handle blood for the life of me. Not someone else's, but definitely not mine. What was I even supposed to do in this situation? Pull it out? First things first.. As I continued to grasp onto my side, I moved my head to look around. I was in the hallway right by the rubble the villain caused but I could see a clear path that showed I was dragged over here. I felt like vomiting seeing my own blood on the ground like that. With that I turned my attention back to the glass shard in my side. Carefully, I moved my hand around it and gripped onto it. I had to pull it out. If I wanted to go anywhere, that thing needed to get out and fast. I just hoped I hadn't lost too much blood already. As I started to pull, I realised the glass wasn't as deep as I thought. But the pain was still there. The more I pulled, the louder I started to groan in pain. Eventually, after much hesitation, I pulled the entire thing and tried pulling myself to my feet. With my hand pressed on the wound, I managed to shuffle over the the hole in the side of the building and looked out. Where did they go? I wondered and furrowed my eyebrows. I couldn't see them anywhere.
"Peter," I heard my name and turned my head to look at Abby. I let out a sigh of relief.
"You're okay," I said and grabbed onto the wall, "Are you?"
"I'm fine," Abby said and slipped her hood off her head, "we took him down. Are you..?" She looked down at my wound and frowned. We were twins and that was pretty obvious. Just like me, Abby had freckles covering her nose and cheeks. She had long brown hair that was slightly curlier than mine. Her eyes resembled mine but I always found her eyes greener. She called my eyes forest green while I always told her she had emerald green eyes. Besides the pain in my side, I couldn't help but smile. It had been months since we last saw each other. I knew she probably wasn't here to visit me either. Her being here was probably a big coincidence, but that made this all the better for me.
I opened my mouth to speak up but suddenly noticed my vision becoming blurry and without much time after that, I felt myself falling forwards. Somehow, Abby managed to catch me just in time and quickly dropped on her knees. I couldn't really move much so I let my sister pull me closer to her. The worried look in her eyes made me smile a litte. I really couldn't help it. All those months I was worried she hated me and here she was, actually worried for my well-being.
"Peter don't worry I've got you," she said and placed my head on her lap before she moved my hand away from my side, pressing her own on the wound.
"I'll be okay," I assured her, but my vision was starting to blur even more. I wasn't sure if that was from the bloodloss, or from seeing my own blood smeared around everywhere. To her stern look, I chuckled.
"Damn you," I heard her say before watching her look away at something, "Lenn! Get the medics up here quickly! Someone's hurt really badly!"
I didn't really listen anymore as I simply stared at the girl above me. I let myself fall sink away and closed my eyes, I knew I'd be fine anyways.
