"What trouble did you involve yourself with this time?" Munakata sighed as he pulled a disheveled and bloody green haired man into his office. Sakakura grunted as Munakata shoved him onto the couch.
"Fucker was talking shit about you and threatening you." Sakakura grumbled, just loud enough for Munakata to hear him.
"What did he say?" Munakata inquired as he dug through his desk to find the first aid kit he had stowed away. He didn't often require bandages or first aid stuff but Sakakura had a habit of getting injured on his behalf. This time, Sakakura racked up numerous stab wounds.
"The asshole was just blabbing on about how he should kill you. He was discussing a plan on how he'd do it. Pissed me off so of course I beat the shit out of that asshat and told him to get the fuck out." Sakakura explained to Munakata. Munakata paused, it was an answer he wasn't expecting. He was expecting some answer like how someone was just talking shit and spreading stupid gossip about him and that pissed Sakakura off. Sakakura always was easy to piss off if the matter involved any negativity directed to Yukizome or him.
However, Munakata never expected anyone to be a threat to his life. He appreciated Sakakura getting involved. Still though, it doesn't really look good on either of their parts. People know how easily Sakakura bends to Munakata's will and would just assume Sakakura had gotten pissed off at someone harmlessly talking shit.
"Thank you for trying to protect me but next time you should just report this kind of thing to me." Munakata told Sakakura as he pulled bandages, ointment, and cleaning wipes out of the first aid kit. Though, he knew better. He knows next time Sakakura is still going to go straight to punching the hell out of people because he never does think very much when he's enraged. Still, Munakata could only hope that maybe Sakakura would one day learn to not be so reactive.
"Like hell I am. You think I'm gonna just crawl to you and hope the bastard doesn't hurt you?" Sakakura hissed. Munakata sat down beside him to look at the wounds. Sakakura winced as Munakata cleans a particularly nasty cut.
"You wouldn't be hurt like this. I appreciate your concern but I can handle these things myself. I don't need you getting hurt like this for me." Munakata replied.
"I want to help you. I want to take care of it so you don't have to worry about it. I don't want you to have to deal with the ugly situations like that, you already have enough to worry about. You don't need to deal with these bastards. I don't mind getting hurt for your sake if it means they don't get the chance to hurt you." Sakakura protested. Munakata looked up at him.
"I do mind though. You've always been by my side but you'll never let me help you. You barely let me help you take care of those reserve course kids back before all this but now you never let me help you whenever things present a physical threat," Munakata resumed caring for Sakakura's wounds, cleaning and bandaging them.
"I just don't want to disappoint you again." Sakakura says under his breath, forgetting for a second Munakata is there. Munakata gives him a confused look.
"What do you mean by that?" Munakata questioned. Sakakura's cheeks grew rosey with embarassment as he realized what he just said. The green haired man stared off into the distance, anywhere to avoid Munakata's gaze as he tried to formulate an answer. Munakata instantly noticed the shift in body language. "Sakakura...?"
When Munakata moved to bandage a cut just below Sakakura's neck, Sakakura swatted his hand away.
"Sakakura I'm only trying to prevent that wound from getting infected." Munakata said and tried to touch Sakakura again, only for Sakakura to slap his hand away once again. "The least I can do for you is to at least clean the wounds you take on my behalf."
