Prologue ~
APRIL'S POV
"Harry, where are we going?" Harry had a blindfold over my eyes as we went on a "surprise" date.
"I've told you already it is a SECRET!" I giggle because his voice keeps going high and then low.
"Don't be mean!" He protests. I giggle more. "We're here!"
He pulls of my blindfold and I see a perfect picnic set out for us. It has all. My favourite food. Along with bread, cupcakes and biscuits. All from the bakery, the bakery that Harry works at.
"Ooh someone seems to know me a bit too well!" I say to him leaning up to him and giving him a kiss. He tussles my brown hair and kisses me back.
"Yes, it does appear I do. But I do know those gorgeous chocolate brown eyes of yours a lot better!" We stare into each other’s eyes and then kiss, again. We sit down on the cliché white and red checker cloth. Harry takes a huge baguette and snaps it into two to, as he puts it, “ceremoniously starting the date”.
He passes me my half of the bread and I nibble on it, just staring into Harry’s eyes. I’ve never been more in love. I eye him over taking in his natural beauty. His dimples makes me want to faint. His cuteness and hotness I just cannot take. I lean over and cup his face in my hands, kissing him, again. As I pull away, he has his mouth open, just staring at me. He does this a lot. I think it is so cute.
“April, You know I love you right? Like with all my heart and that I’d never hurt you ever.” He says this, his green velvet eyes glistening in the afternoon sun. His smile has turned. He seems a bit upset. I wonder why that might be…
“Of course I do! And you know I love you with all my heart… don’t you?” I reply, my tongue sticking out half-mocking him.
“I do know that April, you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And I will always love you…” He says this not looking at me, but at some place in the distance. I put my hand up to his face, pulling it around.
“What is wrong my lil’ cupcake? What is on your mind?” I say cooing at him. He looks into my eyes.
“I’m gonna be leaving for a bit.” He replies not indulging deeper at all into the conversation.
“For what, Harry?” I say my smile now full of concern.
“You know how you always say I have a beautiful voice and you know how I am always humming around the bakery and everything? Well, I’ve decided to do something.” He turns his head back around and gazes at some unknown point in the distance.
“Yeah… your voice is heavenly!” I exclaim at him throwing my arms around him. He blushes a crimson red.
“Well… yeah. Umm… How do I put this? Itriedoutforxfactor!” He said rather quickly. I just gazed at him not catching a single word but I…
“What was that Cupcake?” I say pouting a little because he is so nervous.
“Well…” He says pulling his hand through his thick curls, “I’ve tried out for X Factor!”
“Wow!” I say lost for words. He’s beaming hard at me now, obviously happy he got that off his chest.
“Yeah, I just made the cut off too. I’m just a couple of days older enough to be in it. But I’m really excited! But I really don’t know what song to audition with.” He says all this quickly again, but I understand all of it. He has genuine excitement and I’m so happy for him.
“Isn’t She Lovely. Perfect. Just like your voice!” I say looking away at the same spot Harry was before. I can feel his gaze on me.
“Stevie Wonder? For an audition? But I’m crap at singing that song!” He says turning away from my eyes now.
