The one thing that Brooklyn Liu didn't expect is for her best friend, Malcolm Hoovers, to show up and ask her to take care of his dog, Abram, for the whole month. Nonetheless, she agrees to take care of him. But with taking care of Abram comes a massive catch—and one that Brooklyn herself didn't expect to get. For the past few years, Malcolm's dog, Abram, has been ineligible to compete in the Oakfort Dog Show, one of the most prestigious dog shows to exist. Malcolm suspects that there's something going on from behind the scenes at the dog show, both inside and out, and asks for Brooklyn's help to investigate.
Things take a turn, however, when Brooklyn decides to come up with the craziest idea that Malcolm himself never expected to get—to have the two of them pose as an ultra rich family and having him be her ex-boyfriend that she was going to marry, all while doing the investigation. Together, with the two of them and their pretending to be rich scheme, they work on investigating the dog show for the whole month, making sure that they don't get caught and everything goes as planned, without anything backfiring on them or deviating from the plan.
But all of that might end up being a problem, especially when a billionaire's son, Jeremy Buswell, starts to get in the way of things.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
Fake Paws is a lighthearted story, so there isn't a whole lot of dark moments in the work.
The work is also based off of a story idea that I came up with 2019 and did a heavy rework on.
The story is mainly told in Brooklyn's POV
Fake Paws also contains the following:
-Strong Language
-Implied Sexual Content
-Slow Burn
-Dogs & Dog Show
And another thing to add is that there will be no dogs harmed or dog deaths of any kind inside of this book.
You can imagine the cast as whoever you want, just don't whitewash.
