"Hunny, are you sure this is a good idea?" The woman asked her husband, her raven hair tucked neatly behind her ear and emerald eyes laced with concern
"It'll be fine Bonnie, besides, having her will make it easier for us won't it?" Her husband reassured, his dark eye focused on the road
The couple was on their way to a remote town in the middle of nowhere.
It had been another hour until they had finally arrived at a town a sign in front of the entrance
"Ebott City"
"Looks like this is the place," the man said, getting out of the car, somewhat slamming the car door.
They walked along the dirt road watching as children played
As girls talked to their friends
And the boys went over themselves to get the girl's attention
They stopped at a house
A beautiful modern style baby blue house with a white roof
A white fence around the home with vines of Morning Glories ascended the beauty of the home
The couple walked along the stone walkway to the front door and knocked
As the door opened a man with a little girl stood before them
"Ah, you must be the Rodgers family, hello my name is Natas, and this is my little girl, Blueberry, say hello darling." the man smiled
He was quite the looker for a guy in in his late twenties
"Hi sir, ma'am, it's nice to meet you" her voice was small yet monotone
She was such a pretty girl
"She's perfect,"
"We'll take her"
3 hours later
Toby and Lyra looked up from the TV as the door opened showing the mother, father, and a little child holding the mothers hand.
She seemed "scared" but we wanted to welcome her and make her feel comfortable so she could be our friend.
Toby and lyra ran up to the new girl and proceeded to jump and scream excitedly getting ready to play with their new friend but their father stopped them.
"No kids, she is not a friend, " he said, putting a hand in front of the girl and backing her away.
Once they introduced them to blue they bathed her quickly;
handed her some old hand-me-downs, brushed her silky bob cut and bangs and washed her uniform,
One day Toby and Lyra wanted to hang out with Blue so they asked her but she politely declined due to the fact that she had some "important business" to do but they ignored what she said and grabbed her by her hands and took her outside.
They took her to play with the other kids but the moment the kids saw blue they immediately ran away in fear and they wondered why that was.
The three of them played around and sometimes Blue would look back into the woods as if she was being watched and she felt strangely weirded by it yet she shrugged it off when Toby or Lyra would call her name.
Once they finished playing around they walked back home out of breath or sweating from all that running, she still feels like something is watching her.... Or someone.
Each one of them took a shower and changed so they don't smell like sweat. Blue stopped having the feeling of being watched when she got inside the house.
She was indeed curious of what it was that made her turn her back to look back at the woods, she would ignore it but everytime they played everyday she would feel the same again, again, and again.
