When Saiki went to school, something was different than usual. He didn't know what it was nor did he care but it was bothering him.
Hairo and Mera went up to him.
"Saiki! Hey!! There you are!!" Hairo said excitedly. They were wearing rainbow flags on their cheeks. Hairo wore a rainbowflag as some sort of cape. Mera wore an aroace cape as well.'Why are you wearing this.' Saiki projected into their heads.
"It's Pride Month!" Mera said, smiling.
Saiki hadn't even realized it was June yet.
"Can I draw a rainbow flag on your cheek too? I've already done it for a few people and having allies is always great!!!" Hairo basically screamed in Saikis face.
Saiki stared at him.
'I'm not an ally.' Saiki projected and left them in the hallway.
'What an annoying morning' he thought.
But it would get worse. In the same school only two hallways away, Kaidou and Aren would arrive at school. They don't live near each other, really, but Kaidou had a sleepover at Arens place so that they could go to school together. It was their first pride month together after all! So they wanted to dress up in the most extravagant way they could, considering they have to wear a school uniform. Aren wore a rainbow-coloured hat that he bought two days ago from a costume shop and Kaidou wore rainbow-coloured necklaces and bracelets. A lot of people stared at them, but they didn't care.
For them it felt like the world only revolved around them.A few hallways away, a girl named Teruhashi Kokomi was planning her next move. Should she come out? No, it might be too dangerous. She needs to be the most perfect girl after all. But she also hates having to act to be an 'ally'. She is a lesbian and just recently found out that she is after she fell in love with Imu and realized that she wasn't really in love with Saiki but only wanted him to like her because he rejected her. She even found Saikis sister Kuriko more attractive than him! That's when she realized that she was gay. 100% gay. And she wanted to come out. But it'll ruin everything!!! She breathed in. She breathed out. Then she went to grab the lesbian flag she brought with her to school out of her bag.
"Kusuo-Kun!!"
In another hallway (because the author is pretty damn uncreative) a certain talkative 16-year-old went up to ruin Saikis day a bit more. Well, Akechi is not really ruining Saikis day, it's more that Akechis babbling and endless chatter can make the psychic loose his mind real fast."Hey! Kusuo-Kun!!! Wait for me!!!"
Saiki stopped to look at Akechi. He was wearing a Nonbinary flag on his shoulders.'Touma- You are Nonbinary?' Saiki managed to project. He was surprised. He can read minds but didn't even know his... his best friend had a gender crisis of some sort.
"Well yes, Kusuo-Kun, as you can see I have finally come to the conclusion that I must be Nonbinary. Well a demi-boy, in that case but I don't really like that term. I'm demisexual too, btw. And panromantic! I'm very happy that my mother bought me this flag to wear and oh! Hairo is painting everyones faces maybe you should too! I know you're queer atleast I'm pretty sure. You have given me signs and my gay-dar isn't that bad. Hey, can we go get our face painted please? I really want to get a panromantic flag on my face and- hey?!"
Saiki grabbed Akechi to get to the "painting-stand" Hairo seemed to have opened in a matter of seconds. Because Saiki also had something he could tell the world. Something probably no one would have guessed.
