( warning themes of stillbirth )

the next morning Magnus got up, he felt like crap, he laid in his bed as he cried for his wife once again. the servants ran around the castle, cleaning, dusting and washing. one of the servants Heidi went into the little princes's room, his lungs were strong and healthy as he cried that morning. all the servants loved the little boy, he was easy to take care of. she changed and saw his unique birthmark, he had a blooming rose on his shoulder. she redressed him and held him, burped him but he was still crying before she remembered. " oh yes, you must be hungry my prince. I'm sorry little one " she blush and held him as she left to the kitchen.

the other servants came to help her, they heated up some milk for the baby and watched what he did. she held him and watched as he barely drank the milk. Heidi and the other servants were worried now, they'll talk to their lord about this when he gets up.

hours later their lord got up and was notified what happened that morning. Magnus let out a long sad sigh. before he went on his way to do his duty as lord of his kingdom.

Magnus had a headache for days. he's father was telling him every day about getting married again while he was looking for a nurse maid for Bjorn. but he couldn't find anyone willing to nurse the bebe for he was concerned a runt. he couldn't say no enough times before he agreed to find someone. that got his father off his back long enough to look for a nurse maid

in a ship a hours away laid a woman named hortensia, she had no last name after being sold into slavery by her husband. she was 9 months pregnant and ready to pop. it was her first child.

she tucked a piece of her Auburn hair behind her ear. With her hands shakled in iron and chains, her hair was messy and unwashed. her honey brown eyes looked out of the the ship port in the calm night sky. she didn't know how long it'd be till they got to land ... hopefully her child will be free.

hortensia doubled over and pain. she held her stomach and leaned against the wall of her cell. she had it a little bit better, she was still packed together with other women but it was better then being down below with the men. her lower back soon began to aching, hours later her stomach was cramping the other women tried to help her as best as they can.

she layed on the nice cold ground as she began to sweat. the other women around got in between her legs to help her. she felt the cramps get closer and closer as she shook she pain. that pain lasted hours "come on you can do it." she whispered, before she let out an ear piercing scream from the pain in her abdomen, she slowly rocked herself back and forth as she tried to find comfort. she was exhausted and scared. before she felt something give way. she waited to hear her childs cry but heard nothing. it was dead silent, no one made a sound.

the silence was deafening to her. she started screaming again and this time there were tears streaming down her cheeks. her cries filled the silent air."please no, no no please no" she whispered under her breath, the room went silent once more, except for the crying of the new mother. the woman handed her the pale baby. the woman looked at her with saddened eyes as tears fell from her warm brown eyes. " it was a boy... " hortensia held her cold and lifeless baby boy. and at the moment moonlight brightened the room. she saw he's still face, he was still bloody but he also looked peaceful. his lips were a light blue and he look much more pale now. she noticed something dark on his shoulder, she turned him and saw a birthmark that looked like a rose blooming on his shoulder.

she wrapped the baby in what she could find and held him as she laid there. the other women stayed quiet. she inevitably fell asleep.  The next day was harsh for her, later someone had found her still born son and thrown him over board as she and the other slaves watched. she weep as they throw him away like trash with no remorse. she ran and took ahold of the cloth before they let go of it. she held on to it as they forced them into their cells again.

soon they all felt the ship dock into port, she listened to the ocean while she waited for her fate. she hoped that at least she'd die peacefully somehow so that she could be with her child in the after life.
