You are walking around the mall, walking into your favorite stores and coming back out again with various items. Time seems to have flewn, you decide to check the time real fast and realize you were supposed to meet robin back at Scoops Ahoy 10 minutes ago.

"shit! shit shit shit!" you facepalm at yourself and begin scrambling holding your bags practically jogging over to the malls ice cream store. As you get there, you take a few breaths before stepping inside.

"Shit robin I am so sorry! I totally lost track of time and didn't even realize what time it was-"
you started tripping on your words, but robin reassures you.

"Hey hey, it's okay it's okay! It's just ten minutes don't worry about it!" She started to smile and almost laughed.

"Yeah ur right i guess.. i'm still sorry though!" You straighten your posture, then clear your throat. "sooo what movie where you planning on seeing?"

Robin supresses a chuckle before speaking,
"hear me out.. i was thinking 'A Never Ending Story'."

"wait a minute.. is this because of dustin's little.." you bring your hand up to your mouth and talk in a hushed tone, "..incident?"

"..maybe."

Just then, you both break out into a fit of laughter, holding onto the counter. After calming down a bit, you speak again.

"well, I think seeing that movie is a fantastic idea."
you smile at Robin.

"Of course it is, it waass my idea after all, y/n. I always come up with the best ones." Robin crosses her arms, speaking in a jokish cocky tone.

You roll your eyes at the girl and grin. "Yeah yeah whatever, Buckley."
Robin giggles and grabs your wrist, then leading you to the back of the store.

"Cmon, lets go already dingus."

"Where are we going?" You ask, puzzled.

"Just a shortcut, around the front. You don't have to pay this way, it's great." She replies to you, not looking back.

"Isn't that like.. illegal?"

"only if you get caught."

You two make your way around the theater, finding the correct room. After settling down into seats, the last commercial ends and the movie begins.
Around half way into the movie, a noise distracts you from it.
you look around the room a bit. Suddenly, you notice that you and Robin's hands are touching. This shouldn't be a big deal, it really shouldn't, but for some reason it is to you. You guys aren't even holding hands, they're just slightly overlapped.

even though this made you nervous, you never felt the urge to move. It felt nice, though you didn't know why.

im sure im just feeling like this because its our first time hanging out without steve, and im just.. nervous!

after the movie ended, the end credits rolled in and there was a wave of sounds of people clapping. Afterward, a few people started to get up and leave.

"So what did ya think?" You hear a voice ask. You turn to look at robin, having a eager look for a response.

"Oh, i liked it! I like the plot, fantasy is one of my favorite genres." You say to her, then looking back at the big screen.

"Oh, sweet! i've already seen it a few times, despite it being a kids movie i think it touches on some pretty deep themes and i just really like that about it. I feel like not enough childrens movies do that nowadays so i just really appreciate the ones that do, because like when a kids movie is like all flowery and bright it just ruins it all in my opinion. Like don't get me wrong i love happy stuff but i feel like more things just have to touch on more sensitive topics even if its for kids, i mean they are going to either expirence it or know what it is in the future anyways so-"

Robin clears her throat.

"Ahem- sorry. I tend to ramble about subjects sometimes. Or just anything really." She looked down at her shoes, appearing embarrassed.

"Robin Robin, it's okay! You don't need to apologize for that. Plus, I like to listen to what you have to say. It's interesting." You reasure her, placing your other hand on hers aswell.

Robin looked back at you for a moment.

"Cmon. Ur just saying that."

You smiled again. "Im being serious. I like listening to what you have to say."

She looked back at you. Her expression was like a mixture of shocked, sad, but also very happy all in one. You could tell her gaze looked a lot softer than before. The way she stared into your eyes made your heart beat faster. Just then, the biggest smile appeared on her face as she spoke.

"Your great y/n. But come on, lets get out of here."

Robin grabbed your hand this time, now leading you out of the theater, back out from where you two came.

"Hey robin, think maybe I could walk you to your car?" You asked her, half grinning.

"ohhh about that.. I don't actually have a car. Normally steve picks me up and drives me here, or my parents but I dont think either of them are able to right now. Think you can give me a ride home?" She asked you, smiling awkwardly.

"Yeah of course.!"

You two walked the rest of the way back to your car, then hopping in.

"what kind of music do you listen to?" You asked the Blondeish-brunette girl.

"Oh I don't really listen to much music actually. I mean it's not that I dont like music- i just don't like.. know it you know?" Robin tried scrambling for the correct words to describe what she meant.

"yeah yeah I totally know what you mean." You looked at the road, then back. "Let me show you one of my favorite songs." You popped in a cassete player, as a popular song from Tears for Fears started playing. 'Head over Heels'.

Mid song, you noticed robin tapping her finger along with the beat. It made you smile, something about her liking your music just made you happy.

"whats this song called? I might just get it on a cassete for myself." Robin looked at you.

you could feel yourself smiling. "It's called Head over Heels, by Tears for Fears. I'd reccomend checking them out." You smiled at her.

"Maybe I will." She spoke back to you

silence filled the car for a few seconds, before robin spoke again.

"You know, nobodys ever said that before." her voice seemed softer.

"said what?"

"That they liked my rambling." she looked at you again. "nobodys ever said that to me before. You're the only one."

You stopped looking at the road to look at her for a second. Something about her expression, her gaze, it's like any tenseness or awkwardness there before was completely gone, she looked comfortable. Her gaze looked soft.

You looked back to the road then spoke.

"Well, im certainly glad to be the first one Robin. Also, don't ever think I was saying that just to say it. I mean it. I like your rambling."

Robin looked at the floor again. You thought you said something wrong, but after another quick glance you noticed she was smiling. Like a big, dorky smile, and it almost seemed like she was trying to hide it. Though you couldn't tell, but it was cute.

After a while, you arrived at her house. You pulled into the driveway, and Robin stepped out.

"Bye, y/n! I had fun today, and I mean that too. We should hang out again soon." She smiled at you.

"Thanks, I had lots of fun too, and yeah we should."

you two waved at eachother, and you watched as she stepped inside her front door. After making sure she went inside, you drove off and back home. Upon arriving to your house, you immediately flopped into bed, exhausted.

I cant wait to see her again.

eventually, you dozed off into a deep sleep.
