"What was the point of me coming on this hunt if I'm not allowed to do anything?" You questioned, plopping down in the queen bed that you were sharing with Dean.

There had only been two single rooms left at the bed and breakfast and you always chose to share with him over Sam. Sam was a freaking moose and usually pushed you out of bed in the middle of the night or rolled over on top of you, making you wake up gasping for breath.

"You have a broken wrist, sweetheart. You're on research duty only."

"Ugh... But I wanna actually help." You whined, laying back on the bed feeling defeated.

You'd had this fight with Dean the whole way here and you weren't making any progress other than getting him to take you along in the first place. You were sick of sitting around in the bunker.

"You are helping by staying put and holding the fort." He said, sitting down on the edge of the mattress next to you.

"You let Sam hunt with a broken hand that time-"

"Yeah well, sprout another twelve inches and we'll talk about it." He stated and you sat up, cross legged to glare at him.

"Dean-"

"Y/N?"

"I'm not that short." You pointed.

"No? Sure looks like it to me, short stuff." He quipped and you stood up on the bed.

"I hate you."

"Sure you do, sweetheart." He smiled when you rolled your Y/E/C eyes at him.

"I'm coming with you." You said, jumping off the bed to find your shoes.

"No, Y/N." Dean ordered, which he didn't do with you often. "I don't need you getting any more hurt. Okay?"

"Fine." You groaned, throwing the one shoe you'd found back in the corner next to the door.

"Thank you." He said, when you made your way back over to him.

"You irritate me, you know that right?" You muttered as he towered over you.

"Uh-huh," he nodded and kissed the top of your head.

"So you admit it, you purposefully try to annoy me, don't you?" You squinted up at him and he bit back a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Absolutely. I'm not exactly subtle about it either, Y/N/N. We'll be back soon, alright?" He promised, roughing up your hair a bit. "Be good."

"Yeah, yeah," you groaned when he left you alone in the room, pausing a beat before you ultimately decided to follow after him.
