Chapter 2

From the door emerged a boy in a green shirt, a green hat and brown boots. Odette pretended to be asleep. He walked over to each bed, looked at the girl in the bed and moved on to the next one. Then when he came to her bed, he looked at her and said "You see Tink, isn't she beautiful!" Odette was very flattered by the complement this mysterious boy gave. He started heading for the door. Odette's mind was racing wondering if she should let him go or stop him. "Ummmm..." The words just slipped out her mouth and the boy turned around. "Ummm... W.. What's your name?" Stuttered Odette, "Are you talking to me?", the boy seemed surprised to be talking to a her, as if he never talked to a person in his life. "Umm... Thank you for that complement... When you said I was beautiful."
"Ummm... What's a complement?"
"Do you no... Oh sorry, where are my manners. A complement is when you say something good about someone else." Replied Odette not tring to be rude to this stranger. "What's your name?", asked Odette
"My name is Peter Pan and you?"
"My name is Odette. I don't have a second name, in an orphan..." she looked at the floor.
"An orphan?"
"An orphan is a person who's parents... left them."
"I guess that makes me an orphan too. But, who would want to leave you?"
"I don't know, because I never meet my parents..."
There was a silence and the boy suddenly clicked his fingers!
"I know! Come with me!"
