Jaehyun woke up early in the morning, he took a bath and left a note for taeyong telling him of his whereabouts.

The crown prince walked to his study and worked on palace affairs he had procrastinated on.

After 20 minutes or so, a light knock was heard from the other side of the door.

"Come in!!" Jaehyun answered.

The King had entered. "Why are you up so early?" The king asked.

"Im not sure either i guess i realized in my sleep that i had some work that needs to be completed..." jaehyun answered.

"Hows it going with aeri? Did you tell her yet?" "No i havent i was actually planning to do it today. How about you hows it been with mom and king Daeyoung?" "I feel like ive had enough of them playing around. Ill just have a public execution in a couple of days. Also i have another thing planned. Im not sure if i should tell you bow or wait until later, but i actually plan on stepping down. So at the moment i am also planning for your coronation." The king explained leaving jaehyun shocked.

"So early dad?!?! But youre still young!!" "Yeah ice realized i actually want to experience things. Be free and travel around. However, i do apologize for leaving all this heavy burden on you jaehyun." "No its fine actually i only want whats best for you. What you want. If you want to reitre from this position, ill do my best to serve this kingdom well..." jaehyun told the older male who hugged his son.

"Then ill be leaving then.." the king dismissed himself from the room walking back to his study.

Jaehyun worked on all his work all morning that he didnt even realize it was lunch time.

That was until another knock was heard on the other side of the door.

"Your Highness... your mother is calling for your presence at the dining table. She is worried as you have not left your room all morning and wants you to eat something." The head maid announced.

With that being said, the male walked out of his study to the dining room where all three families were sat down. All were present except mark who chose to skip the meal.

"Nice of you to join us jaehyun!!" Haein called out to her son who gave a half-hearted smile.

The prince sat down on his chair and spaced out. Aeri being the attention seeker princess she is, started to rub her hand on the males thigh.

Jaehyun glared at the princess but she continued to do it. Jaehyun being sleep deprived and now annoyed, grabbed the princess by the wrist and dragged her out of the dining room and into his study.

"Jaehyunnie!!! You stood me up yesterday... why????" Aeri asked the male.

"I was busy.. now why are you doing this?? What do you want??" Jaehyun angrily asked aeri.

"I just want your attention..." she answered back, batting her eyelashes at the male.

"Well wrong way to grab my attention... i dont just look at ones way if they are touching me... the only person who can succeed in doing that is my boyfriend..." jaehyun told the woman with a sly smirk on his face.

"Oh so youre with that whore?? Ill make his life miserable dont test me..." aeri angrily spat out.

"Touch a hair on him and ill make sure you wont ever step foot on this kingdom better yet youll be banished far from here..." jaehyun said to the princess who was frightened.

"Just like you i was only using you for sexual desires so you can go back to the boy at the strip club. Seduce him or whatever and get on your knees for him. I dont care. I dont like you Aeri.. now if you try to do something remember ill make sure you regret it..." the prince continued, about to open the door when he was held on the wrist.
