There isn't much one can do when they're unconscious. You can't move, you can't think, one can even be surprised if you can breath. But the most unfortunate thing about being unconscious is that you usually can't control when or why it happens. So when you go under, you can never be too sure as to where you'll wake up. But at that point, all you can do is wake up and deal with the consequences of however you got there...
Rolrakas groaned softly as his mind slowly awoken. His hearing was still shot and his body was limp. The only thing he could do was try to fully come back to his senses. The pounding in his head almost deafened his thoughts however. But as his body slowly caught up with real time, he could make out shuffling not too far away. The fight or flight senses kicked in immediately, causing his eyes to shoot open and for him to roll away. His body ached with every movement, but that couldn't be helped. His eyes squeezed shut as he did his best to understand his surroundings.
"Hey! Dumbass! You're gonna get yourself hurt doing that!"Rolrakas jumped a bit at the sudden sound of a voice. He took a breath, letting his vision settle and his body relax. He knew he couldn't fight like this. And with how loud the voice calling at him was, they didn't sound like they were fighting or hiding. So maybe he wasn't in as much danger as he thought.
"Finally you stopped thrashing around like a fish out of water. Here, let's get him up." The voice said once more. Footsteps continued to close in on him, but not just one. There were more people here than he had realized as well. A few sets of hands landed on his broad shoulders, helping him up and leaning him against some kind of wall.
"There you go. Just take it easy. Everything should be okay for now." Said a second voice. It was much more feminine and quiet compared to the rough brashness of the first voice.Rolrakas blinked a few times as the blurriness of his vision finally started to fade. It was dark, but in more of a lowlight sense. His eyes drifted around to find they were somewhere with a bunch of boulders too. That was when he finally laid eyes on the two others standing around him. The first was a very tall Dragonborn, standing at least a good 4 or 5 inches above Rolrakas. They had an annoyed look on their face and were clad in what appeared to be hunting armor. Their hair hung short and silver around their muted greyish blue skin and blue eyes. The second was actually much shorter than himself, more than likely an Elf or Human. Their body was small and slender, seeming unsuited for combat, along with long blonde hair tied back in a bun. Their lack of armor was also a bit surprising. They just had on casual attire, a shirt, pants, and a hooded robe around their shoulders.
"Where...are we?" Rolrakas finally mumbled out once he could finally stand on his own.
"We're still not entirely sure on that one quite yet. All we know is that we seem to be in some deep hole or something. We're not sure how we got here, or why either. Plus with how dark it is down here we really can't see much to try and find a way out. So as of right now, we're kinda just stuck." The Dragonborn explained. Rolrakas just sighed, pushing one of his dark braided locks out of his face.
"Well I certainly don't plan on staying in this hole any longer than I have to. We might as well get introductions out of the way and-..." His words were cut off by muttering. The three looked towards the center of the hole, finding an orb hanging in midair. It's soft blue light illuminated part of the hole, showing off some of the rocks and boulders laying around. Right by it was a small creature, down on it's knees, and seeming to try and conjure up some kind of spell."Who's that?" Rolrakas couldn't help but ask.
"We're honestly not sure. He was the first one up and has been trying to do something ever since. He won't tell us what however. All we know is that he's a Genasi and a sorcerer. He hasn't even given us his name yet." The Elf explained. Rolrakas let his eyes fixate on the small blue form in front of him. His sunken green eyes stared at the orb with an intensity he couldn't understand. His shoulders were stiff and unmoving as he continued to spill words in a language he couldn't identify. He had never met the small and almost sickly looking creature before in his life, but for whatever reason, he felt drawn to him. His feet almost moved on their own as he approached the small Genasi. The creature's eyes never faltered away from their task, despite the approaching footsteps. All Rolrakas could do was watch with intrigue.
