Please Warn Them

Chapter 8

Ava giggles letting go of Viktor who rolled his eyes at Maxim "It better be the right map." Maxim narrow his eyes at Viktor "Of course it is. Its the world map of the Earth since a map of Mars would be useless!" he said spreading the map out for all of them to see.

"Um I do not think looking at a map will tell us where to go." Ava said focusing hard on the map that maybe it would speak to her. Maxim face lights up in a 'Aha!' moment went to look for something under the bed. She shots Viktor a glance who shrugs in response.

"Here we go. Try using this." Maxim said showing her a white crystal that has a string tie around on end. Ava stretches her hand to Maxim who lays it in her open hand. When Maxim lay the crystal in her hand it was like a electricity running through her. Ava felt confuse at the feeling that even she could not understand.

"You hold it by the string and let your energy flow down to the crystal that will move showing the way we should go. No Viktor I'm not making this up." Maxim sat back crossing his arms while giving Viktor a glare which he returned with one of his own. Ava shakes her head at their childish behavior which she ignores trying to focus on what to do.

'How? Do I use it? He said to let my energy flow through me to the crystal so one of the things I should do is relax.' Ava thought taking and releasing slow steady breaths to relax her body and mind holding the crystal over the map. Doing what Maxim said letting her energy flow down to the crystal who will do its thing.

Viktor and Maxim watched Ava every move before starting to look at the crystal. Just like Maxim said it started to move in small circles, a grin was visible on his face seeing Viktor surprise face. Ava slowly opens her eyes seeing it had landed on the same state they were in just a little south of where they were.

"Looks like we are going south so Viktor start driving." he shots Maxim a glare but still stands up and went to the driver seat. "Heheh this remind me of the magic school bus." Maxim furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "Do not even try its an American thing." Viktor waved if off Maxim grabs the map to read it so he can give Viktor directions.

Ava sights trying to figure out how Maxim would ever give directions if the map was upside down. Maxim blinks trying to make sense of the weird arrangement of letters. Ava turns it the right way "Lets try not to get lost." Maxim nods giving her a goofy grin. Ava lays back down not wanting to see if they will get lost or something.
