Chapter 3

"OMG! You are appointed as Siddharth's P.A."

Reem said making herself comfortable on the couch.

Avu: It's not exciting. I never felt this nervous. His cold voice was so intimidating that I couldn't even argue with him. When his cold and hard chest made contact with my skin, my heart started beating rapidly and his lips on my skin gave me a burning sensation.

Avneet said confused and lost in her thoughts.

Reem: OMG!! My friend just made out with her most sexy boss and that too on her first meet only.

Reem got up covering her mouth with her hands in wonder at her absurd supposition.

Avneet threw the pillow at her.

Avu: Nothing happened like that. Stop being so creepy why would I kiss a guy whom I just met. Even if I would think something like that am sure that after watching his face I would have quit that idea.

She said making a scared and cringed face.

Reem: did you see his face? No, you didn't. You know I heard that he is the most handsome young man that anyone could see.

Avu: Yes, I didn't see his face but the aura that he has is awfully odd and unreal. I am not able to process how he could walk so hastily because he was on his chair and I was near the door and in just a second he was behind me and I didn't even hear the sound of his footsteps.

Reem: Maybe he is not a human?

Reem said wiggling her eyebrows.

Avu: Maybe but didn't feel any supernatural power around me. I just feel like

She stopped when she saw her best friend pathetically smirking at her.

Reem: Why did you stop? The first time you are

talking about a guy. Go ahead my little girl

Avneet shook her head in amusement before starting again.

Avu: I never in my life felt this scared. His sandalwood and the rose scent were hypnotizing me. His voice was so surreal and deep that it made me shiver. I was melting in his touch.

Reem: aha! Maybe because it was your first day that's why.

Avneet: No, you are forgetting that I am a nymph, not a human being. I can't get scared so easily. I could have killed him on the spot but I was blank. And the weirdest thing was that I was feeling cold. Temperature doesn't affect Nymphs.

Reem: Maybe he is your mate.

Avu's eyes widened

in fear.

Avu: He better not be. No! No!

Reem: why? You once told me that nymphs can have a sexual relationship with any species. He can be your mate. Avu: He is human. I don't have any problem with humans but we live for thousands of years and the human lifespan is short. What will do for the rest of my life?

She said in horror.

Reem: Okay calm down! Maybe you are feeling like this because you don't have your powers.

Avu: Maybe (she got a little bit of calm down)

Reem: hey! Have you seen a vampire in real?

Avu: Now where did that topic come from?

Reem: wo... I was thinking maybe by any chance if your mate is a vampire then I can get a chance to meet a vampire in real

She said sheepishly playing with the strands of her hair.

Avu: Heck no! A vampire as a mate is a big no

Reem: Why? You want that Hottie to be your mate and now what's your problem with vampire

She complained of irritation

Avu: A vampire! I never saw any in person but Setaria nymph who is the oldest once told that vampires are very dangerous and cold-hearted. They don't like nature that much and they crave blood. They can make anyone do whatever they want. Their eyes hold the power to slit anyone's neck. They can't be trusted. Reem gulped down in fear.

Avu: and nymphs are totally different. They love nature because it's their whole existence. They are friendly and kind-hearted. I never ever see a vampire mated with any nymph except it happened centuries ago.

Reem: but mates can't hurt each other. Then why are you so scared and can't they love someone?

Avu: That is a problem. They are so cold-hearted but if a vampire starts loving you then you can't escape from them. They are not only overly possessive and way too romantic but dominant also.

Reem: Then how will you find out who your mate is?

Avu: I can't do anything until I get my powers back. Because, unlike werewolves and vampires, nymphs can't smell their mate. They quickly get attached but as nymphs can be mated with any species so they can't feel their mate.

Reem: Then don't find one. Simple!

Avu: It's not as simple as it seems. If we don't find our mate or our mate died we can't live without them for so long. Yearnings will start to arouse us slowly killing us with loneliness and despair. Reem: until then you can have fun with your boss She said winking at her and making avu scrunch her nose in disgust but slightly rosy.
