Final Straw [1]

A kingdom far away, where clouds were a shield and fire was a weapon. That kingdom was called "BFB Kingdom". Though it held a simple name, no one has dared to step foot on the land. And if they did the consequence won't be so pleasant, at least for some. Guards who see someone try to enter has to be verified to do so, which they held a list to who can enter.

People who live in the kingdom have to follow strict rules made by the prince which many complained about them daily. But still the king ignored them until finally, it was the final straw.

"Sir!" A knight came to the king who was sitting on his throne made of leather and gold. "We have princess and princesses waiting for the competition to start!" The king looked delighted and told his guard to bring Match. Match is the oldest from her brother, Firey. They grew close when they were young, so when their mother died things went downhill. Firey grew up having anger issues so he never really talked with anyone his age. Match was always there for her brother and there was never once he yelled at her. That's why people loved Match, "She's the only one who can tame the beast!" They say. Yes it seems harsh but there is no way to control Firey unless it's Match. But Firey does not want this day to happen.

Match being Firey's only real friend, he tried to convince his father for this to not happen but he refused. As you should know, once Match is married to their true love, she must go to their kingdom to rule it, which means she will have to leave. Some folks were concerned if this was a good idea, but the king was sure that this is the right thing for his daughter.

"Is it time father?" Match entered wearing a puffy red dress along with a bow, Firey was walking behind her wearing a simple bowtie and crown. His crown had red gems, and his bowtie was also red to match his big sister for honor. "Yes, you look beautiful my angel" she smiled as the king lifted up from his throne and onto the carpet. "Guards, please get the food ready, be ready for the feast." The guard nodded and left as other guards followed. The king walked down to the door and was ready to open it and give his speech. "It's never too late to turn back.." Firey said in a quiet tone but enough so his father could hear it. "I know this is hard, but this is what's best, Firey." And he opened the gates.

A crowd was yelling and music was playing in the background, and in front of them were 3 princess and 2 princesses. Match immediately had an eye for one of them, a girl who was about her height and the same age by the looks of it.  The king noticed this and took a liking to them. Now was when the speech has started. "I have been king for over 30 years now and finally it is time for the moment we all have been waiting for. Match will finally go on her journey to repeat such a life like her mother did. Let the games begin!"

As the crowd was cheering nobody seemed to notice that Firey was gone, if only someone did. Firey re-entered the castle and to the kitchen to where the food was being made for after the princess had chosen her true love. Sneaking past the guards while holding something he finally made it to the fresh water which will be served to everyone. Firey had a friend, Coiny. Coiny was a sorta trickster and a thief all for a reason. Coiny lived being poor most of his life until about 6 years old him and Firey met. They took a liking but when the king found out Coiny was with Firey they banned them from meeting each other ever again. The king says it's for safety reasons but Firey hates him for that, and so Coiny always sneaks stuff to him without actually communicating, and one of those things was a bottle of fart spray.

Firey opened the lid and poured it into the water with a grin, and as a chef got back, he was gone. It has been 7 hours and Firey returned to the grounds to where the games were being held. He watched them play and when some people noticed him there they try to keep distance. There were a specific amount of games depending on the amount of people playing and since there is 5 than that's how many games are chosen. The games in order are...

1: Archery

Every player will reseve a bow and three arrows. The more close the arrows are to the middle of the target the better the points. As having three arrows you get three tries.

2: Building

The players will reseve an axe to chop down trees with and use that wood to carve it into something impressive, an so the king and queen, only king for as of now... Will judge your build out of 0/10. Usually the most common thing people have built in these were a boat, boats are a sign of appreciation at this kingdom and the more detail you have on it, the better.

3: Hide and seek

I know what you're thinking, "Why the hell is a kid's game in this?" Well, here the players have to hide as knights stalk them down with swords. The goal is for the player to be the first to make it to the finish line without being seen. This is to show their stealth. And if they get caught it's minus about 2 points.

4: Beauty pageant

As any ordinary pageant show would go, you just dress up in your finest close to fit the topic that is chosen, what's a king/queen without some fashion sense?

And lastly, 5: Horse Trials

Horses are also an honor to the kingdom, winning multiple wars with them. In this case instead of the players, jockeys are assigned to ride their horses, doing tricks and see how well behaved they are. Better trained the better points.

Afterwards, the points will be added up and whoever gets the most will spend the most time with the princess during their walk through, a walk through is when the princess and someone else will basically do a walk and talk. At the end of the day it's her who has the choice to pick their one and only. After that it is time for the feast...

At the time now being, the princess is doing her walk and talks as she was not around so the games were over, Firey felt sad to not see how things went down but hoped that it was worth it.  Without noticing, he heard his name being called, "Firey! Where were you, you were supposed to be by my side." The king let out. "I'm sorry father, I was quite busy and I didn't want to miss the games, I just didn't have the chance." "That is no excuse, get ready for dinner, in about a few minutes princess Match-" "Just Match. You always act like she isn't your daughter when you say that." "Do not talk to me like that, I take you both as my children because you are, stop being selfish and make your way." The king pointed to inside the kingdome, gesturing him to make his way to the dining table, and so he did while giving him a death glare.

Firey entered the castle once more and took his seat by his father's chair as usual. Food was brought out and so was the silverware. He had joy on his face as the butlers poured the water into every single glass, he could only imagine for everyone to leave and Match gets to stay with him. After a while people started to come in and take their seats, the king also came in and behind him was Match holding someone's hand. The king sat at the very front of the table with both daughter and son each by his sides. "May everyone raise their glasses." And at the King's order everyone did except Firey but that wasn't a surprise to anyone so nobody noticed it. "We are all gathered here for the sake of the lovely princess Match who will have to depart soon with her love, Pencil. We are thankful for this day and will celebrate our last dinner together, cheers!" Firey watched them drink the water before coughing and spitting it out. The king stood up and banged on the table "WHO POISONED THE DRINKS, CHEF!" Firey giggled at the fact he thinks it's poisoned but the king immediately noticed this "Firey! This action is very unacceptable in my kingdom! We need to talk... In private." "What if I don't." He gave him stern look so Firey did as he said. "I apologize everyone, I must speak with my son. As for now, chef, re-fill the glasses with a new beverage". He brought Firey aside into the halls before immediately yelling at him "Firey! This has gone too far, there is no escaping this time." Firey didn't respond but was shocked by what his father said next, he stood there filled with both anger and sadness. "I'm sending you away."

"What do you mean sending me away! To where!" "To answer your question, I'm sending you to the sacred forest, there, the Queen of The Forest will help you behave." "What bullshit is this!" "DO NOT USE THAT LANGUAGE HERE" the king gestured for the guards to take him away but Firey was getting bigger and bigger, his flames getting more violent. "You are NOT doing this to me father. Not anymore!" He was about to  hit him but was knocked out by a knight.

Firey finally woke up but not in the place he expected.
