Rosabelle POV
"Okay so I'm supposed to ride that?" Melody pointed at White.
"It's not so fri-" I started to say.
"No way in hell! Luke said it was freaky!" I turned to look at Luke and gave him the 'really?' look. All he did was look at me and shrug. So much for a friend-or-still-don't-know-our-status person.
"Melody, we have just about the limited time you get when you're getting executed and you're one step away from death." I said as-a-matter-of-a-fact. Melody's mom just kept looking at us like we're a bunch of idiots, which we were, then it happened again. I felt, them. Not the same wolves, but they're werewolves anyways. They don't seem to be friendly either. Another thing. They're coming at us, and fast.
"Get on and quickly! We don't have time! They're on their way!" I shouted my commands.
"Who's they?!" They all said.
"Werewolves!" I said and they appeared right there. Surrounding us.
We all jumped on White and the wolves launched at us. We almost flew, but they were too much.
I wasn't going to kill them, but I was going to protect my dear ones this time. I created a shield with my powers. They all were pushed away and all tried to launch back us again. I was a bit injured, but thank goodness it seems their commands weren't to kill us, but catch us. How would I know? Of course it's simple, they didn't cut our heads off immediately.
I mind-linked White "Let's go."
When she started swinging her wings. I heard a deep voice speak. Not the Alpha, Beta. "I don't think so." I simply looked at him with a poker face and lifted an eyebrow. "Well not if you wanna see two witches. A blondy with green eyes and the dark haired one with the dull brown eyes."
I gasped. I couldn't breath. They couldn't have. They had... Eric and Jason.
"Eric and Jason." I whispered to myself. I was still in shock. Melody shook me and I glanced at her.
I mind-linked White again "It's fine."
"But Mistress!"
"Let us down." I commanded. My brothers. My only left flesh and blood. I couldn't just leave them. She let us down and I looked back at the Beta.
"Lead the way." I spoke with all my pride.
"Not that easy. Get off your ride pretty-little minx." I bit the inside of my cheek out of frustration. I kindled fire above my hand as an answer. "Na ah ah!" He said holding out his index finger telling me no. "Not if you want them alive." He smirked and looked at me with threatening eyes. I grunted and extinguished my fire. Then got off of White.
"Let them be." I warned him. Implying they'd still be riding on White. What if this was a trick? I could handle myself, but their powers are now too weak. All thanks to that Claud!
We stared into each others eyes for a while and then he nodded. Good.
..............
Hours later. After so many freaking hours! We finally started a bonfire because it was already midnight. They said we'd continue tomorrow.
Man I'm tired! So I'm not complaining for a little rest. But after all that walking then what?! Nothing! If only I could use my magic to teleport myself there, or maybe fly! But the idiotic Beta wouldn't tell me where. I sense a pack closer by.
I'm coming for you guys. If you're by any means hurt, those freaks WILL pay.
---------
It was early in the morning. Finally those filthy wolves woke up. The Sun was still not completely awake though. I can only see it's rays gleaming from behind those trees. Oh did I mention we were in the woods. The woods and forests and such are the best hideouts for "different" creatures like us. Humans now, and then, rarely come by. Especially to specific areas in the woods or specific forests and such.
I didn't sleep by the way. I wouldn't.I couldn't. I have a duty and it's to protect my loved ones, and pretty much keep many things balanced here and about.
You can never be too sure with those wolves. They weren't known for being the most disloyal creatures for no reason. Their the most treacherous creatures. They kill to live. They never love.
Plan: None.
What? I'm an Aries, I come prepared, but I love to go by the flow. It works far better in my opinion. It gives you that one great feel of rush.
I love fire, for my sign is fire. My favorite sign. My favorite power. Yet, has always been my.. Greatest fear.
"Everyone up?" The Beta inquired. "Let's go." The annoying 'thing' commanded. Maybe I shouldn't be too loathsome. It isn't good. There's a great chance though they've got my brothers. They might be hurt because of them too. Hopefully though not-
"Never hold onto loath. It turns your igniting beauty into the hideous cinders of fire." I remembered Her words. I miss her. Madaline.
They all got up and some even transformed into their wolf forms. We started to head to their nest. We were getting closer. I could feel it with each step I took. My breath was getting ragged by the second. I was nervous for some reason. I think it's because of all what's happened, maybe because after such a long while of being so worried about my brothers I'll finally get to see them (hopefully in one piece). There's still that feeling though. I feel anxious. For what? I don't know.
- After hours and hours -
I could feel it. I could feel them. I definitely could feel my heart beating like a proud drum, but not of war. Why am I feeling like this? Maybe I'm hallucinating. Surely.
Hey wait?! When the hell did I become so grim, stern, and commanding?!
Neh.. Who cares?
I haven't spoken to neither Melody, her mom, nor Luke since we've been on this journey. I couldn't, it might cause trouble. See! Stern! Ugh. Back to arriving to the pack house.
It seems peaceful, but everyone's looking and growling at us like we're a bunch of criminals. That said, we haven't even caused them no harm. They really do hate Witches.
"Where are Eric and Jason?" I spoke with pride lacing my voice. I wasn't going to just let them boss me around. Though Mr. Beta seems to hate that I sound even stronger. Get over it Doggy.
"Do-" Wrong name. "Beta." I called. He stopped in his tracks and looked at me suspiciously. He was surely wondering how I knew he was Beta, but then left it at that since he knew he had power and everyone listened to him because he was the boss. Nope didn't even have to read his mind. His physical actions are easy to read. couldn't read his mind easily, but I could get a slight insight. He put up a barrier. I'm still learning and training myself.
"First, you must meet our Alpha, we cannot let you in our dungeons without his command."
"Must I?" I asked sarcastically, frustrated. He rolled his eyes and nodded. I looked at Melody and the others. They were horrified and tired. They slept, but I don't think that was the best rest they've had. "Where is he?" I asked sternly.
"He's busy in his office now. You will be escorted to the main living room right now until he cares to meet you." He said smugly. I felt the very urge to break his neck right there as he spoke the last five words. A member of the pack escorted us to the living room. Melody and her mom were exhausted and fell into deep slumber while Mr. Alpha took his sweet time. As for Luke, it seemed he was in deep thought since he'd arrived. I refrained to speaking to them. Even walls have ears. I hadn't even mind-linked White.
After two excruciating hours, I, alone had been summoned to meet the Alpha of the pack. I left White in her owl state with Luke and the others. I was excited to let my brothers out of here, yet, I felt my excitement was not only of that reason. My heart was beating like the drums of a marching band. I couldn't fathom the reason. What could the reason be? How could, I, myself not even know it?
