Hello! I am the user @arckela, but you can call me Akil! Thank you all for reading and enjoying my work [IGOR], inspired by one of my all time favorite artist, Tyler, The Creator. Here are a few notes and facts about the storyline before it became the story you know today. If this doesn't interest you, then feel free to scroll! There is a "first version" of the first chapter, just so you know!

I actually began working on [IGOR] May of 2021, the 26th was it's one year anniversary (and it still isn't finished). I seriously cannot believe it.

I actually dropped the story until October 20th, 2021 because I hated it so much. I just overly complicated the plot, and decided to take a more simpler approach so that it would motivate me to write. This is the [IGOR] you all read today, which I personally call [IGOR: RELOADED]. Here are some unedited notes from when I first started writing:

"Hawks quirk is well, that of a hawk, including his feather manipulation. I feel like (Y/N)'s should be something that is a natural enemy to him. At first I thought of a snake quirk because of their binding and constricting nature, but I felt like writing for that character would include a lot of body horror. I wanted to keep the reader's character as human-like as possible for this one, so I'll just pocket the idea for now."

I still want to use Vipress ( the snake character) in the future, just don't know when yet.

I knew that each chapter would inevitably be a song, so I didn't have to think to hard on that. I wanted the story to give off a playlist vibe, so I formatted it that way.

I then mapped out what I wanted to happen in those chapters, basically how to time and match the climax of the album so that the reader would be able to feel that same frustration as if they were listening to it.

At first, I wanted the reader to be able to time the fic with the songs so that they could listen at the same time, but they would either have to be a very fast reader or the chapters would be 100 words long or something. I decided against it, and simply wrote as long as I could with the song on repeat. I wanted each chapter to feel like it had a beginning, middle, and end like a song. I didn't want it to go unfinished, but let it meld into the next one as smoothly as possible.

Here is the entire original outline of [IGOR]:

"I settled on a crow quirk, because of the fact that crows "pick apart" hawks as their prey at times, which could be the reader trying to pick apart Hawks to reveal his vulnerability, though he won't let them. Crows are better in numbers, so the reader will ultimately fail. I also like how symbolically, crows and hawks are each other's balance. While the hawk is the serious type, looking at the broader picture, crows are curious and playful. But for the purpose of this, the personalities will be swapped, the reader wanting to look at the broader picture for their relationship, and Hawks still being the playful person that he is.

On second thought, maybe the personalities won't be switched. At heart, I believe Hawks puts on that façade for his fans, the playful suave type. Therefore, his actual demeanor will be more serious. Y/N will act serious in front of her fans and such, because of her dark aura, but at heart she will be young and playful. This will be kind of difficult to portray, at least for me, because their interactions will flip flop a lot.
