"I guess I'll be taking my leave now" Seth stood up and collected his phone that was on the table. His beautiful eyes never once leaving the woman who got up along with him.
"I'll escort you to the door." Violetta said with an expressionless face and followed the tall man to the door.
Standing outside, Seth stood with his hands in his pocket and his thin lips in a straight line. "Will I get to see you again?" He asked the question cause he needed to know if there was a slight chance he might see her again. Seth didn't understand why he was reluctant to leave. He wanted to stay for a little while but he couldn't cause she wasn't in the mood for any chit chat.
"That depends on when you visit." Violetta answered honestly. She didn't have time to entertain this man with a relationship or whatsoever but she couldn't control the universe.
"How about tomorrow?" Maybe there was a chance .
"Are you coming to visit your sister or me which one?" Violetta raised her finely shapped eyebrow with a straight face.
"I... " Seth was stunned at the woman's question. He didn't know what to say. How could he tell her that he wanted to come because of her? That she had captured his attention unknowingly? "Both."
"Alright. But I hope you don't have any further intention cause you will only get hurt." Violetta said not intending to sugarcoat her words. If what she was thinking was right then she needed to crush his expectations.
Seth was again shocked at the woman's blunt statement. She had just indirectly rejected him before he could make a move. Was he that obvious?
"I just hope we could be friends." He said
"I don't have a problem being your friend as long as there isn't any casualties or hidden motives involved."
Seth couldn't help but stare at her expressionless face amusingly. This woman is a tough nut to crack. "No hidden motives involved." Yet.
"Okay then, see you tomorrow." Violetta said ending the conversation immediately.
"Bye." Seth watched as the door closed softly but he let out a sigh of relief. He thought that dealing with women was a piece of cake with just the right words and a smile, or so he thought or was being told, but this woman was different. She didn't appear smitten by him and was quick to dismiss him without hesitating for a moment, but he didn't mind. But the question is, how is he going to woo her? For someone who was a novice in this field he needed advice. But who can he go to? His parents? No, his mother would just bother him for the rest of his life about the matter. His siblings? That was a dead end. Thinking about the people suitable for this matter he couldn't help but stop at one particular person. Despite his reluctance, this person was someone who could help in this aspect.
Realising he had been staring at the closed door lost in thoughts for a long time he shook his head and turned towards the stairs. That woman was a lovely distraction.
Exiting the building he walked towards his car while busy with his phone. Placing the phone by his ear he heard a voice say
"Hello."
"Were you sleeping, Mark?" Seth asked taking note of the tiredness in the voice.
"I was before you decided to disturb me." Mark complained "What do you want?"
"Come to the office, it's urgent." Seth said a cold tone.
"Why? What happened?" Mark panicked.
"When you get there I'll tell you." Seth ended the call and stared at the building he once exited before driving away.
**************"What is going on?!" Mark bolted through the door and stopped by the large oak desk with a frantic look on his face. He stared at his bestfriend who was seated with his hands interlocked covering half of his face and he stared deeply at the desk.
"Sit down." Seth said not bothering to look at the person in front of him.
"What do you mean by "Sit down"?! Didn't you say it was urgent?!" Mark raged, angry at the fact that the man was just seated calmly while he was panicking like a mad man.
Seth finally raised his eyes and took in Mark's appearance with a look of disdain. Dressed in his pyjamas not bothering to change, hair looking like a bed nest, barefooted, eye mask on his forehead... Mark was really a sight to behold. If any chance the press caught sight of this image then Mark's father will really sit is son down and TALK.
"Didn't you bother to change before entering my building?" Seth asked unaffected by the glare he was receiving.
Mark ignored Seth's question and asked again" For the last time block of ice, what is so urgent you had me running here in a state of frenzy?!"
Seth stared at him for a long time before he finally dropped the bomb. "How do you woo a woman?"
Silence. Unaltered silence.
"So you made me come all this way here to tell you how to woo a woman?"
To say Mark was speechless was an understatement , he was confused and didn't know how to react to the question. If it had been somebody else he would have broken their bones with a beating but this was Seth! The big block of ice mixed with granite and cement!
"Yes." Seth answered honestly.
Mark was trying to see if the man was joking but with that expressionless face he knew he was far from it. Did the sun rise from the west today? Or did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed? But come to think of it, Seth actually asked a question relating to a woman and not just any question but how to woo her! Was his ice heart finally melting?
Mark couldn't contain the joy he felt and smiled widely while rushing to take a stroll on the chair he once rejected. "Who is she?"
"She's a beautiful woman." Seth answered with a blank expression but there was a sudden glint in his cold eyes.
