cliff's pov
"And you know what? I never realized how much I needed you until you weren't there anymore. And I bet you're laughing. I bet you're laughing at me up there. God, I hope you're laughing. I'd do anything to make you laugh like you used to." I rant to Dominic as I put our picture on my dresser next to my bed where I laid. "But you know what, because of you, things are gonna change for good again. It's always you." I can't help but laugh as I sarcastically say, "God, why are you so perfect?" I turn my head towards him and smirk, "Seriously though, I told you Mavis had some potential before. And even right now after our fight, she still does. You're just shining through her, ya know? That's why I'm giving me a second chance. And I promise, I won't fuck her up like I did you, okay? I mean- you forgave me but I still fucked up. There's no point in fretting what could've happen though, because you still LOOOve me." I burrow myself in my blanket as I grow a bright smile, "And now that I think about us and everything that's happened..I think I know where I'm gonna take them first."
the end.
(this one actually still pains me a bit. i go back and then i'm like "damn this fucking hurts" so i hope you liked my angst a bit. technically it was still a happy ending but the fact that dominic and cliff can never get back together even though it's the one thing they both truly want will always break me. along with the fact that when they pose for a yearbook photo, they'll leave a space for dominic in the middle. that will indeed break me too. okay, that's it. thanks for reading. hope you cried. bye)
