DRAY’S POV ::--::
“Well, wouldn’t she be surprised when she gets here!” I chuckled to myself. I needed a way to get her to the Skydome so that we could practice for next week’s bomb diffusing and I was well aware that she wouldn’t have bothered to come if I didn’t say it was’ urgent’ in capital letters. I looked at my watch and slipped my phone back into my back pocket. I did a slow countdown in my head “ 5..,4….,3…” and well she was here on 3, so much for my countdown!
She pushed open the Skydome doors and ran in, screaming my name out.
“DRAY, DRAY!! What happened, what’s the problem?!?!” she shouted out in terror.
I just burst into laughter “Happy April Fool’s Day!” I shouted out and pulled out a goofy smile.
“It’s not funny and it’s not April fool’s Day” she said in anger. “That wasn’t very nice you know!” but I guessed she couldn’t act angry that well, for the next moment she was giggling like crazy.
“I’ll get you Dray, if it’s the last thing I do” she mimicked it out in a cartoon characters voice and we both burst into a series of laughs followed by giggles and soon we had hiccups coming up and our stomachs hurting in the sides.
“We should stop now” I said gasping for breath
“Yeah you’re right”
We walked over to a vending machine and inserted a couple of coins and two bottles of water came rolling down. We both stooped down to pick them and bumped our heads real hard.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry” she said looking at me with a look of concern in her eyes.
“It’s not your fault” I said and smiled at her to assure her that I was alright. I patted her head where I bumped her and she whimpered like a little puppy. I just laughed but had to stop, my stomach was still aching from all the laughing.
“So… why did you call me here exactly?” she asked as she took a sip of water.
“Well I thought we could practice for next week’s big project”
“You could have just asked me you know, I would have come!” she protested
“Oh I just thought it would be more fun this way” I said pulling out one of those grins which just made her blush a deep red.
“Well then, let’s get on with it” she said “ and oh I met Jenna, I’m guessing you know because she knows you, wow I was surprised!”
“Oh looks like you guys finally met, I was wondering when this would happen”
“She also asked if we would like to make it a group date”
“Uhmm, yeah that would be fine I guess” I didn’t like it that much because I wanted her to myself but I didn’t want to be selfish. We moved on ahead.
The Skydome tower was right in front of us and today, I was gonna teach her how to climb up.
SKYLAR’S POV ::--::
We moved on ahead to what looked like the Skydome tower, Boy! That thing was tall.
“Well let’s get all the equipment we need from the booth over there.” He said pointing to a little shed at the corner of the dome.
We got our equipment: long ropes, and helmets and some other stuff I had never seen before.
“Well since this is a pair assignment, we’ll go up there together, you can hold onto me okay?”
“Well okay, but I really want to climb up on my own; I’ve gone mountain climbing before you know?”
“I don’t know… see the equipment we use here is different” he protested.
