Chapter eight.

Mira's p.o.v

The weekend went by and it was Monday. First official day at work and Brian's first day at school. I didn't want him skipping school for long so I did the necessaries during the weekend. I woke Brian up and after bathing him,dressed him up for school. I had already told him about it and he was excited to start today. I asked him to go down for breakfast with my mom while I dressed and made my hair. I was done in no time and went downstairs to join them.

" Good morning Mom"I gave her a peck on both cheeks

"Good morning honey". She pecked me back.

"Where's dad"I asked.

"Still asleep, didn't want to wake him up".

I nodded and turned to Brian after taking a peep at my watch.
"Come on honey,let's go".

"Bye Gran"he bid my mom goodbye and we left. I decided to take him to school for this week before he starts going with the school bus.

I got to the school in no time and after telling him to be good,I left for the company. I got there and saw some workers were just getting in. We exchanged pleasantries and I got in the elevator. Sarah and a staff holding a cup of coffee were waiting for me at my office door.

"Good morning".I greeted and collected the cup of coffee.
"Good morning dear".sarah greeted.

"Sarah you're looking good.". I said to her. She smiled.

"So Sarah what do we have for today"I asked.

"Well the Combe industry pulled out from the restaurant deal". She said.

"Pulled out! Why"?. I asked.
"I have no idea. Yet. But we have another buyer,they're offering to pay double the original price".

"Double the original price". I asked surprised.

"Yes ma'am".

"What's the name of this company and what do they do". I asked.

"Well ,it's called Briestaurant, they have different kinds of restaurant and wants to add this italian restaurant to their list"she said.

"Where's it located at and other information we need to have,you know how serious dad is about finding a suitable buyer for the restaurant "I said.

"Well they brought in their offer yesterday and has scheduled a meeting for 4pm tomorrow."she said.

"Well please ask the research team to get all info they can on the said company and submit them on my table tomorrow,I'll review and decide if the meeting will hold tomorrow. What else do I have for today".

"Yes ma'am,we have a meeting with Mama&me at 10am this morning also you have an interview with Elena from E TV". She relayed
I checked my watch and saw the time was 9:39

"Alright,let's get going,better early than late".

By the time I was done with the meeting and interview,it was past 2pm and Brian's school would be done by 3pm.

"Alright Sarah,sorry to leave you with the paperwork but I have to go pick Brian from school".

"Okay, Good night".

I left the office and went into my car and started driving,on my way I called Kendall to ask if she was already on her way to pick Athena and she told how she was just picking up her phone to call me to help her pick her up. We talked about why she couldn't make it to the school and I had to end the call as I almost went pass a red light.

I got to the school few minutes past three and waited for them to come outside. I saw Brian and Athena and a chubby cute girl walking towards me immediately they saw me .
