She put her hand forward, letting the girl grab on it tightly.
"You're like a flower bud. You have the potential to grow into something beautiful if taken care of properly."
The girl's blue iris reflected the shape of two figures.
"I'll get you out of here. I'll nurture you properly."
She smiled, thinking about the potential of the girl. The potential that she will grow, the potential that she will use. She looked back at the fallen rubble, a remnant of the magnificent house that once was. The house had caught on fire, which caused the little flower to awaken. But the little flower was on the verge of killing herself.
"I'll teach you how to control that power of yours. So you won't hurt yourself. Do you get what I'm saying?"
The girl nodded. But it seemed like it was her breaking point. Tears waterfalled down her eyes and the girl covered her face, looking away.
He took a try at comforting the little flower.
"The dead are the dead. You cannot revive them. But you can keep them alive by remembering them. Remembering them and going on with your life, proving that you can stay happy with them as an undying crystal in your heart."
The girl nodded, but the tears didn't stop. She didn't make a sound, not a sob or a cry, but silent, ugly tears that showed how much she was hurting on the inside. She stopped walking, looking back at her house and picked out a dandelion from the ruins. A memento.
Comfortable thin arms wrapped around the girl, lifting her up and placing her head on the arm's owner's neck. The girl buried her head in the neck, wiping her nose on it too. She wrapped her hands around it and closed her eyes, trying to stop crying. Eventually, the dandelion flower was lulled to sleep by the movement of the body, the steady footsteps and the rhythmic breathing.
"What are you going to do with her?" he said, looking at the dandelion in her arms.
"I'm giving it to former no. 1."
"You seriously think he's going to accept?"
"Yes. She's got serious potential. And if he doesn't accept her, I'll just beat him up like I did last time."
"I like that plan."
